Producers William Sherack and Jason Schumann specially asked Jason Richman to improve the script, and specially arranged for him to stay in Bangkok for a period of time to experience the exotic cultural atmosphere on site. Although Jason Richman handed over the script in a very short time, the two producers William Sherak and Jason Schumann and the directors oxide Pang Chun and Danny Pang were very satisfied.
In the original film, the character of Joe is a deaf-mute person, but in this film, the source of Joe’s loneliness has changed. Although it is still a physical limitation, it is because he does not speak Thai and he is Caused by cultural unfamiliarity. In order to establish a corresponding connection with the original film, Jason Richman still created a deaf-mute character in the story-Fang.
