Why did you choose to create this story
This story belongs to me, or the world I understand. If I don’t create it, I will feel that there is no future.
After the short story was completed, before the long story was filmed, a lot of changes have taken place in myself, right?
Yes, my own thinking has indeed changed. When filming the short story, I didn't think very carefully, I just thought it was very interesting for my father to wear my mother's costume (laughs). And this time when I made the feature story, I thought more about it. How do people get rid of their worries and get out of the trough? I hope that the works here can bring certain reference or help to the audience. This may be the biggest change in myself when making a long story.

Matsumoto-san, this is your first time starring in a movie. How do you feel and whether there will be pressure?

Has Director Fukuda been looking for a long time in the selection of filming locations? Isn't it difficult to find this kind of island that fits the themes of the movie? !
No, I wanted to set the stage on the island from the beginning, because my parents were born on the island. The island is also a very beautiful place for me. Therefore, instead of choosing other local towns for shooting, I feel that even if the island cannot satisfy the composition of the movie, it will definitely make the movie fuller. So I found "Shikine Island" through Google Maps, and there was a new island right next to it. I thought that with these two islands, I could complete the story I wanted, so I proposed to the producer. After considering the budget and other issues, we felt that these two islands were the most suitable, and then I started to write scripts.
