Two men work at a meteorological observatory near the Arctic in Russia. Pieces of pure white ice floes on the vast sea, the colorful sky on the horizon outside the window, and the magnificent ice and snow in the lens are like the end of a quiet world. Their task is to regularly read the surrounding radioactive element data and report to the headquarters via radio. Radio is the only bridge between them and foreigners. Sergey, in his fifties, has become accustomed to this cyclical and isolated life: working 4 hours a day, morning and evening, no weekends, boring and realistic.
