The Major positive review

"The Major" presents an urgent and interesting life around police corruption. Through this film, the audience saw some complex social phenomena in modern Russia, as well as the great Russian art and the tradition of storytelling.
Technically speaking, "The Major" is relatively crisp and neat, the plot is compact, and the mood of the soundtrack is in place, creating a gloomy atmosphere, layer by layer, until the end is full of compassion. The long shot is also good, clean and cold, and the snow scene is beautifully shot. The clean snow contrasts the evil of human nature, and it has the sadness of "the world is not benevolent and everything is a dog". And the one shot in the corridor of the detention center is even more amazing, the capture is accurate, and it depicts the anger of the bottom citizens towards the Russian officialdom.

It's a bit confusing as to where the story is going. Photography, especially long takes and soundtracks, is just too appetizing.
