Anson grew up in White Bluff, Tennessee. His mother is former professional golfer Nancy Smith (Nancy Smith). His father, Anson Adams Mount II, was one of the original contributing editors of Playboy magazine. Anson has an older brother Anson Adams III and his father's sister Kristin from his first marriage.
