  • Edgar Howard Wright Jr (Edgar Wright) was born in Dorsetpool, England on April 18, 1974. He is a British director, screenwriter, actor, and producer. He graduated from Bournemouth University of the Arts.
    In 1991, he directed his first TV series "Murder Most Horrid", thus starting his career as a director. In 1995, directed the pseudo-western spoof film "A Finger". In 2000, the directed comedy " SPACED " was nominated for the 53rd British Academy of Film and Television Arts Television Award-Best Sitcom. In 2004, he wrote and directed the comedy " Shaun of the Dead ". In 2007, he wrote and directed the action comedy " Blue Fury " [1]  . In 2010, directed the romantic film " Scott Pilgrim vs. the World ". In 2011, with the adventure cartoon "The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn", he was nominated for the 39th Anne Award for Best Animated Screenwriter [2]  ; subsequently, he served as the producer of the action science fiction film " Attack the Block " [3]  . In 2013, with the action comedy " The World's End ", he was nominated for the Best Screenplay Award at the 40th Saturn Awards [4]  . In 2015, he served as the screenwriter of the action science fiction film " Ant-Man " [5]  . On August 25, 2017, the self-written and directed action crime film " Baby Driver " was released in mainland China [6]  . On March 19, 2018, Edgar Howard Wright Jr won the 2018 Empire Film Awards Vision Award. [7]

    In 1991, he directed his first TV series "Murder Most Horrid", thus starting his career as a director. In 1995, directed the pseudo-western spoof film "A Finger". In 1999, directed the comedy " SPACED ", which tells the jokes made by two strangers in the same room, and was nominated for the 53rd British Academy of Film and Television Arts Television Awards-Best Sitcom.
    In 2004, he wrote and directed the comedy " Shaun of the Dead " co-starring Nick Frost and Dr. Russel Fell , which was nominated for Best British Film at the 58th British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards Alexander Kodak Award. In 2005, he played the role of zombie in the photo booth in the action horror film " Land of the Dead ".
    In 2007, he wrote and directed the action comedy " Blue Fury " co-starring Dr. Russel Fell, Nick Frost and Jim Broadbent  . In 2010, Edgar Howard Wright Jr began to enter Hollywood, directing the romantic film " Scott Pilgrim vs. the World " based on the comic "Scott ", which starred Mike and Mary Elizabeth Winstead  .
    In 2011, he served as the screenwriter for the adventure cartoon "The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn", which was dubbed by Jamie Bell , Andy Serkis , and Daniel Wroughton Craig . With this film, he won the 39th Annie Award for Best Animation Film screenwriter nominated   ; in the same year, he served as the producer of the action science fiction film " Attack the Block ", which was co-starred by Nick Frost and Jodie Whittaker  .
    In 2013 , he wrote and directed the action comedy " The World's End " co-starred by Dr. Russel Fell and Martin Freeman , which was the last part of the "Blood and Ice Cream Trilogy", and he won the 40th place with this film. Nominated for the Best Screenplay of the Saturn Awards . In 2014, directed the fantasy thriller " The Night Stalker " starring Johnny Depp . 
    In 2015, he served as the screenwriter of the action science fiction film " Ant-Man ", which was directed by Peyton Reed  . On August 25, 2017, the self-written and directed action crime film " Baby Driver " was released in mainland China   .
    On October 29, 2021, the thriller film " Last Night in Soho " , which was produced, directed and participated in the screenwriting, was released  .
