      The whole theater is crying

Different from the cruel fairy tale with a beautiful title, the director uses seasons to suggest emotional tones, and shows the complex symbiosis of weakness and goodness through the eyes of women. The tenacious and intelligent volunteer doctor, the pure and flawless nun, and the obscene and...

The government is sloppy, but the people are innocent

Just finished watching "Ape Action" and then "The Innocents", the same World War II theme, the same abandoned by the alliance, just from a historical point of view, Poland is self-inflicted, first after World War I divided the German territory, and then afraid Germany liquidated, taking the lead in...

There are some problems with the script, the actors' performances are too many, the characterization is not enough, and the historical construction of the set is too sloppy, but the composition and scheduling can see the effort, the story itself is largely the female director's own for some grand issues (war trauma, Women and arrogance, crime and punishment, religion and redemption, a certain commonality of violence in different regimes) contributed to the skeptical thinking (and some doubts were ultimately unable to resolve). Thanks for being helpful.

Faith is like holding my father's hand when we were young and felt very safe. Then, when we grow up...Life, faith, and even human nature are all vulnerable in the face of war. Fortunately, there are always people who will retain their conscience.

    The Innocents quotes

    • Maria: Dear Mathilde, the dark clouds have been hunted. We have here the sun in the sky. And you are in our hearts. Other wars may come. Other dangers threaten us, it will soon be difficult to write to us. But whatever our fate is, I feel ready to face it. I know, even if it makes you laugh, God sent you. Let him accompany you through the trials and that joy never misses you. Yours, Maria.

    • Mathilde Beaulieu: Good night

Mathilde Beaulieu: I don't want to

      [avoiding the kiss from Samuel]

      Samuel: Me neither

      Mathilde Beaulieu: I mean it

      Samuel: So do I

      Samuel: What?

[as she tries to stop him from ascending the stairs]

      Mathilde Beaulieu: You're too old

      Samuel: Charming...

      Mathilde Beaulieu: Not too loud

[as she tries to shush him]

Samuel: You didn't say that the first time.

Samuel: It's not true. I may be ugly, but I'm not old.

Mathilde Beaulieu: Pardon, no, you're not that ugly.

      Samuel: Really?

      Samuel: Come here

      Samuel: What?

Samuel: Come here. I take that as an encouragement, you know.

      Mathilde Beaulieu: Oui

      [and kisses Samuel]
