      limited freedom

The questions raised in this film are good and the approach is sufficiently oriented, but I still cannot be persuaded to support the continuation of the doctrine.

Creationism has always been a helpless move in my eyes. People are not satisfied and ignorant about things that cannot be explained, and...

A little bit of comment in SSS

By now you've probably heard of "Expelled", the new Ben Stein anti-evolution crocumentary. It officially opens today, as I speak that's April 18th. Of my job, I've had the misfortune of sitting through this film twice now, at least I was getting paid. The film tries very hard to connect Darwin with...

To seek legal academic status for intelligent design theory through the demands of freedom of speech, or to reflect on academic freedom by showing the situation of intelligent design theory? I don't see any evidence to support the theory of intelligent design, but it is beyond human ability to disprove intelligent design, and this theory can easily escape verification. As for the ultimate question of the origin of life, we know too little, and much of it is not so much "know" as "I'd rather believe."

The title is wrongly translated, intelligence means "to expel creationism", the wisdom of God, "God" here is not human and non-god

    Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed quotes

    • John Polkinghorne: People who tell you, for example, that science tells all you need to know about the world, or what science tells you is all wrong, or science tells us there is no God, those people aren't telling you scientific things. They are saying metaphysical things, and they have to defend their positions for metaphysical reasons.

    • Ben Stein: What if after you died you ran into God, and he says, what have you been doing, Richard? I mean what have you been doing? I've been trying to be nice to you. I gave you a multi-million dollar paycheck, over and over again with your book, and look what you did.

Richard Dawkins: Bertrand Russell had that point put to him, and he said something like: sir, why did you take such pains to hide yourself?

Ben Stein: [voice over] But, if the Intelligent Design people are right, he isn't hidden. We may even be able to encounter God through science, if we have the freedom to go there. What could be more intriguing than that?
