  • Jae-ho Song (March 10, 1939-November 7, 2020) , born in Pyongyang, South Heian Province, graduated from Korean Dong-A University , a Korean actor. In 1975, he co-starred with Yan Fushun in " 영자의전성시대 ".

    Performing Experience

    KBS debuted as a voice actor in 1958, and starred in the Korean drama "Daughter-in-law" in 1982, and won the male best acting award in the TV department of the 18th Baeksang Art Awards .   In 2003, he collaborated with 송강호 in "Memories of Murder". The film was the 2003 South Korean box office champion and won the Blue Dragon Awards (24th in 2003) for the best-selling Korean film award   . In 2004, the Korean family drama " Precious Family " played the image of a kind father, and let the Chinese audience know and know him. This TV series has been watched in South Korea for 7 consecutive months and won the championship.   In 2006, he participated in the movie "South of the Border", which won 제44회대종상영화제 .   Participated in the Korean disaster film "Haeundae" in 2009. The film was released in South Korea on July 23, 2009. It was screened for 33 days. The number of viewers reached 10.075766 million, making it the fifth film in the history of South Korea with more than 10 million people. The box office work   won the Blue Dragon Awards (2009; 30th).   In 2011, he cooperated with Su-mi Kim to focus on the love world of the elderly in the film "I Love You".
    On November 7, 2020, Jae-ho Song passed away due to an old illness   .
    In 1958, he debuted as a voice actor in KBS Busan. 
    In 1967, he participated in "Myth in the Flames of War" and "The Theatre of Youth" debuted on the screen.
    In 1968, he became a special actor of KBS.
    In 1975, he co-starred with Yan Fushun in " 영자의전성시대 ". Jae-ho Song's unique acting skills have won high reviews from critics. 
    In 1976, he co-starred in "Ladies Street" with Liu Meina, playing the role of Zhao Rongjun.
    In 1977, he co-starred in "Winter's Woman" with Shen Xingyi.
    In 1979, he once again co-starred in "The Conditions of Love" with Shen Xingyi.
    In 1981, he co-starred with Jang Mi-ki in "Three Longs and Three Shorts", and played the role of sound effects engineer Kim Jong-shi. After the film was released, it was well received and the box office was also popular. 
    In 1982, with his outstanding performance in the TV series "Daughter-in-law", he won the first award in the Baeksang Art Awards TV category-Best Actor Award in his acting career .  
    In 2001, he participated in the Sino-Korea cooperation multinational blockbuster "Samurai", playing the role of the deputy ambassador.
    In 2003, he starred in "Double Agents" and "Single Nobles". In the same year, co-starring with 송강호 and others in "Memories of Murder", the film won the Blue Dragon Awards Best Selling Korean Film Award and the 2003 South Korean box office champion. His ever-changing acting skills made him a giant on the screen with a height of only 1.65 meters.
    In 2004, he starred in "Sweet Honey in the Sixties". He played the gentle and kind Pil-gook who lives with his only relative and the quirky 11-year-old granddaughter.
    In 2009, he participated in "Shadow Murder", playing the role of Liu Jitian. In the same year, he participated in "Haeundae", playing the role of Cui Ershu.
    In 2011, he played the role of Zhang Junfeng in "I Love You" which focused on the love world of the elderly. This warm work reflecting the feelings of his twilight years won praise from the audience. 
    In 2012, he collaborated with Xue Jingqiu and Sun Yezhen in "Skyscrapers", playing the role of Mr. Yoon. 
    In 2014, he participated in "Suspect", playing the role of Park Jianhao. 
    Song Jae-ha's film resume includes many major productions in the history of Korean film, and together with the most powerful directors, he has become the backbone of the film industry.
