I really feel that the male protagonist is very selfish. He clearly can't give anything but won't let her go. He takes possession of her alone in the name of love. Isn't the Duke not in love? I think the Duke just doesn't know how to express love. The duke gave money because he was rich, and the male protagonist just knew that he sang love because he had nothing! Especially when the female lead came to sing and he blocked that section, it was really selfish to the extreme. The only shortcoming of this film is that the 1899 story actually has a 1980 song. .
