    Character Evaluation

Susanne Bier inherited the legacy of the Danish film group "dogma95"   . As a female director, she not only likes to show their feminine temperament, but also further highlights the various contradictory characters of an ordinary person's character, and enables the audience to experience the quality of life of these actors in the film .
Susanne Bier is passionate about extremely simple, low-key, documentary-style realism. She carefully controls the tone of the narrative, slowly and low, without expressing excitement and exaggeration, until the last moment, the explosive force of contradictions overflows   . She is a "Feng Xiaogang" in the Danish film industry. Her films have always focused on the joys, sorrows and sorrows of small people, and she is also good at listening to suffering and witnessing human dignity .
Most of Susanne Bier's films feature male characters as the protagonists, telling their changing roles in life and their ups and downs, and highlight their worries about human crisis, especially their willingness to be "cows" for their wives, daughters and children. Bill’s perspective is undoubtedly feminist. Compared with the classic feminist film aesthetics whose mission is to subvert the narrative of the male subject, the gender aesthetics in her films have obviously changed the course of her works for the ingenuity of male mirroring in her works .
