  • "Der Untergang" ( German : Der Untergang, English : Downfall ) is a documentary film directed by German director Oliver Hirschbiegel . It was released in Germany in September 2004.
The film tells the last 12 days of Hitler's life, including the scene where Рабо́че-крестья ́нская Кра́сная а́рмия conquered Berlin , Hitler and his newlyweds Eva Braun committed suicide in an underground bunker. For more than half a century, the image of Adolf Hitler , the leader of the National Socialist German Workers' Party , has always been a hysterical war madman. However, this film has broken the German taboo on this historical figure. In the film, Hitler is no longer the roaring instigator, but is portrayed as a soft-spoken "dreamer".

"The Destruction of an Empire" Miscellaneous

For those of us who are educated in the precious ideology of peace, World War II is undoubtedly a tragic and unbearable war in human history. This war that killed more than 50 million people will make any sympathetic person Subconsciously resist. Because even if we only look at the number of victims, the number of 50 million dead souls will make people feel the bloody cruelty, injustice and evil of this war. Therefore, I have always been reluctant to understand this history of...

      The Downfall/Der Untergang

I like history, and I am most involved in Chinese history. Of course, famous histories in the world also attract my attention. Mainly speaking, there is a key word in history that attracts me, and that is "war". War is about war , can not be precisely said to be good or bad, its essential nature is only two, one is aggression, the other is peace. Although the characteristics of these two words are completely opposite, but they will always be used by some political and...

      look and feel

Hitler, the German Army, the Germans, it is estimated that many Asians do not have a bad impression of these even because of World War II. They are close friends and close attacks. In my impression, the Germans are a strict nation. The merchants of Venice have also learned that Jews are the representatives of traitorous businessmen. Hitler chose all of them and did not screen out the bad guys. The military discipline of the German Army has not been reported as bad. It is dozens of times...

      Destruction of the Empire

This is one of Hitler's most despairing and angry films

It was also the most tragic and desolate moment before the end of his life.

In all fairness to say that six million Jews died and his brutality was indeed callous and resolute

And the Third Reich he led almost conquered Europe after losing in World War I

The greatest head of state is also worthy of the name

We can't surrender without resistance. That's too dignified. Loyalty and dignity. 50 million people died in World War II.

You have to get out of Berlin, everyone said that, the Russians almost surrounded us. I can't do that, boy, or I'll be an empty lama on a prayer wheel, and I'll have to work it out or perish, but in Berlin. We are soldiers, and we have sworn allegiance to the Führer. Should we stop thinking about it? Is this what you said? Speculators, only to climb up. Wherever the enemy went, all they saw were ruins. That amounted to a death sentence for the German people. No electricity, no gasoline, no...

The angel under the Berlin sky incarnates the head of the Third Reich. Second time watching this movie. Still feeling extremely hopeless. The lines of Berlin's buildings are pale. Ganz's swirl of hair became unusually stylish when he scolded people. In addition to the ecstasy when the gunshots sounded, it was actually the smell of potassium cyanide. The human Hitler had to be played by a strong actor. Ganz is really good even though my dad says it doesn't look like Hitler at...

    Movie plot

This is a documentary film that vividly reflects the last 12 days of Hitler's life, the last days of the Third Reich.
The Red Army of the Soviet Union had already invaded Berlin, Hitler and his mistress Ewa also hid in the bunker. Eva knew that she had come to accompany Hitler to Huangquan, but she did not regret it. Even after she refused to plead with Hitler for her brother-in-law, she and Hitler held their last wedding together.

    Movie Trailer

Bruno Ganz studied Parkinson's patients in a Swiss hospital in preparation to play Hitler.
The only existing recording of Hitler's conversation helped Bruno Ganz prepare for the role. This recording records a private conversation between Hitler and Field Marshall Gustav Mannerheim. Hitler unexpectedly appeared on June 4, 1942 to congratulate Mannerheim on his 75th birthday. This smart Finn secretly recorded the conversation in the...

    Goofs

The Erlenmeyer beaker used in the film when preparing sleeping pills for Goebbels' children is a product after World War II. The logo on the beaker shows clearly.
When the "corpses" of Eva Braun and Adolf Hitler were placed in a cave outside the bunker to be burned, the two "corpses" moved their legs in order to lie flat.
After Magda Goebbels poisoned her child and walked out of the room, she immediately curled up and leaned against the...

    Background creation

The creation of the film comes from the historian Joachim Fest's "Hitler's Last Day" and the memoir of Hitler's last female secretary Trout Jonge "Until the End". Jung was born in Munich in 1920 and was chosen by Hitler as his personal secretary at the age of 22. She served until Hitler committed suicide and recorded Hitler's will, and finally escaped from the bunker with a small team.
What disturbs many people is that in the memory of...

    Media evaluation

"The Destruction of Empire" shows the revelation of the truth in a convincing way. It is not a simplistic irony, but it retains the complex nature of the world to the maximum. This simplistic irony is mixed with a blind sense of moral superiority, making Hitler farther and farther away from the true face of history, and turned into an evil symbol that allows future generations to be smeared—anything done to Hitler contradicts this...

Evaluation of the Destruction Scholars of the Empire

The German historian Goloman criticized that writing a biography of a murderer should not describe how he attended the party, what music he liked, and liked Bordeaux or champagne. Because these sentiments are not the key to history, and have nothing to do with the Nazis and the Holocaust.
The Nobel Prize winner King Grass criticized that it is unacceptable to omit historical situations when reproducing history, and it implies a certain...
