Comparison between Afghanistan and Canada
I stated in advance that I have only been to Canada and not Afghanistan. I think the reason I like this movie is that besides the handsome actor, there is also Afghanistan that reminds me of Iran and Iraq that I have been to.
Scorched land, barren villages, vineyards, and Middle Eastern people wearing long robes.
Zhang Ailing wrote in "Poetry and Nonsense" that her aunt talked about Canada, saying that it is better than any other place. The climate is cooler, the sky is...

The failed mix and match of realism and commercial films
Plot:
The Lion of the Desert is a legendary hero who was domineering when the Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan. After returning to the countryside for many years, he suddenly appeared and met a desperate father man and other American soldiers. He retreated from the chasing soldiers with the words of Ji Wei and saved the father-in-law and his party. The intelligence uncle analyzed that the desert lion must have a plan to return to the arena.
(In the end, there are no pictures...this...

One day I concentrated on organizing and watching a movie. After watching this movie, I had some thoughts.
As a bystander of the war in Afghanistan, what happened in Afghanistan is just the material and background for the blockbuster of the war for us. Whether it is an American, a Canadian or a Western country in the movie, it has no effect on our viewing experience or perspective. First of all, I think this is not a main theme movie. In the end, the old Afghan warlord and the young...

Add a paragraph shared by Professor Zhai Dongsheng, Vice Dean of the School of International Relations of the National People's University: "I once heard a retired US military officer talk about his daily situation in Afghanistan: "Usually we hide in huge fortress-like military camps and do not go out. Sometimes A guerrilla attack in the middle of the night was nothing more than throwing a small rocket to frighten us. Most of the time, the Americans could not be killed. But once the...

"The Road of the Hyena" is worthy of being one of the most classic films describing the war in Afghanistan. The scenes of sniper operations and team assaults are reproduced extremely real, coupled with the appropriate use of the camera, shaking, switching, and the sense of substitution of the pseudo-documentary style is really super strong. This alone has already killed most war films. However, the film is not limited to subtle battles. It describes the impact of road construction on the...

Canadian soldiers are very sympathetic to Afghan civilians, especially children. There is a big difference from the NATO army killing civilians in CCTV news. Which is the...

The two battle scenes before and after are still very real, and the howitzer is too powerful. The plot is so-so, and some parts are not...

Ghost won't beg for death wholeheartedly. If he dies, who will protect his son? He was able to escape countless chases by the Soviets, but couldn't he escape his juniors? A shot in the scope already hints at this. The death of the BDK father and son has attracted revenge from his subordinates? It's better that someone secretly takes advantage of the fisherman, why can Haji find the girl who is not easy to save? Do you think he is a pure good informant? One old and one small two local snakes...
Pete: *Repeated line* Haji, what the f*ck are you doing?
Travis: Name me one thing I've ever been wrong about!
Ryan: ...thinks for a moment... My sister?
Travis: ...pause... Yeah, that was bad...
Pete: Alexander the Great marched into this graveyard about 2,500 years ago. Easy to march in, hard to march out. His words. He and his mother wrote to each other all the time. One day, he got a letter from her saying: "What the hell? You conquered most of the known world in a day and a half, what are you doing bogged down in Afghanistan?" He grabbed a bag and shoveled it full of dirt and had it sent back to Greece with a message to his mother: "Take this dirt and dump it around the palace, see what happens."
Pete: So Alexander's mother spread the dirt all around the palace. Later that night, a couple of attendants showed up to make sure she was alright. One says: "Go ahead, after you." And the other says: "No, after you." And the first one says: "No, I insist." And the second one says: "Don't you tell me what to do." They pull their swords and go at it till they kill each other. Alexander's mother watched all this and wrote a note to him saying: "Okay, okay, now I get it." And he wrote back saying: "Even the dirt is hostile." In Afghanistan, dogs fight dogs, birds fight birds, men kill men.
