Too many elements, shallow excavation, mediocre story, a bit unfinished

In the movie I watched with my former colleagues, some scenes of the movie were still a bit exciting, such as tearing out a tumor with bare hands, a mental patient stabbed someone with a knife, and from pregnancy to childbirth within an hour, we saw a few of us screaming. .

Although the time of the movie is average, usually more than 100 minutes, but I have a feeling that I have watched it for a long time. It should be a little long at the...

The Capa couple took their two children to a resort during the holiday. There were many people here. The hotel receptionist was very attentive to them and specially introduced them to a secluded beach. When I came to the beach, I found that it was not only their family who came here. It was quiet and peaceful at first, but when a group of people found a female corpse...

      worth seeing

If it's just for a plot, Samsung. The specific cause of the beach and the role of the coral are not explained. The point is how the director makes an ordinary story appealing.

Structures, Ghost Village, Sixth Sense have similar structures, showcasing the usual to the unusual and revealing later. The revelation in this film is even far less than the reversal of the previous two films, which may be the reason why many people give it a low score.

      some bugs

I really like this movie. It belongs to a psychological thriller, and it is not very particular about its sci-fi setting. It can be seen that Shyamalan doesn't care much about the logic of the setting. But some bugs are quite obvious.

      1) The adults are obviously not getting old as fast as the children.

Probably because the cast of adults can't be changed.

      2) Their hunger is not reflected.

This is also called creativity. I suspect that the screenwriter has read the Chinese classical Chinese "Lan Ke Ren"

I think they are bragging about high concepts and good ideas

I wonder if this is the little classical Chinese story I heard when I was a child, "The Man of Rotten Ke" is probably "A Chaifu went up the mountain to chop wood, saw two people playing chess, Chaifu watched the time and forgot the time, and all the axe he saw sprouted. I went down the mountain and returned to the world, but the dynasty has changed.” (I don’t know if you have heard this...

Shyamalan does have the characteristics of India's Asan - always able to use the most gimmicky ideas, the most provocative and infectious passion to attract sponsorship and a strong team, but finally lost to execution. The gimmick of this film is good, but the execution in the later stage is really messed up. After everyone was trapped, the whole process was chaotic. In the past, Shyamalan's films would collapse in the last third, but this time, well, the first third has...

How the director makes a film is the same as when I write a text: I have a wonderful idea in my head, but when I write it, I spare no effort to screw up the story in all aspects such as organizational structure, writing narrative, character description, etc., and finally add a self-righteous reversal. end. I would say that the greatest horror of the movie is to condense a person's life into two days to tell the audience that living is...

Weird, abstract, and blank everywhere, the compressed time condenses emotions and makes everyday life terrifying. Perhaps for the first time, the Shyamalan-style "kitsch" ending has made the film fully sublimated in the true sense. Movies "minimal" (plot, scenes) and "complex" (theme, appearance) all make sense. It may be considered that: after Hitchcock's death, "pure suspense film" as a genre has perished, and it was not completely resurrected until Shyamalan after "The Cataclysm" - the...

88/100, the child's question and the adult's response are like opening subtitles, explaining their respective information. Afterwards, the director personally leads the actors into the space of the film, the real image exits the stage, and the camera is camouflaged to exist instead. And he can always find the best time to promote the deployment of the schedule, wonderful panning, precise zooming, creating direct art about viewing, the characters' different external identities are irrelevant or...

    Movie quotes

    • Prisca: [to Trent aged 6] Stop wishing away this moment.

    • Kara Aged 15: [Kara and Trent sit in the sand as she clutches the remains of their newborn son and states off into the distance] We're not getting off this beach. We never had a prom. Or a graduation. There's so many memories we didn't have. It's not fair...

Trent Aged 15: [leaning against her] He needs to rest now.

[She looks at him, then away again, vacantly loosening her grip on the bundle and allowing him to take it]

    • Guy: We're we fighting about something?

      Prisca: We were.

Guy: Well... whatever it was, I'm not mad anymore. I can't remember - why did we want to leave this beach? So beautiful... It doesn't matter. It's funny, I forget the word... it's about my feelings for you.

      Prisca: I know.
