It's been a long time since I saw a John Cusack movie. I've always liked this character. He has a handsome face and first-class acting skills, but because he doesn't like mainstream movies, he has always been in a half-red or not.
Bill Bob Thornton. Typical character actor. There aren't many mainstream films, but they all leave a lasting impression.
Rare film noir. With the cold atmosphere and interlocking plots, it is hard to imagine what this film about a lawyer partner...

A hugely disappointing movie, and it stands to reason that the odds of this possibility should have been small.
First, there are two stars I like very much: John Cusack and Billy Bob Thornton. John is hard to say. In my impression, Billy never picks up movies, as long as he acts or directs them. It's a good movie, but this time it was really an accident.
Second, there is director Harold Ramis. Although it can be seen from the relatively recent "The Boss Stepping aside"...

Cusack does his best type of film. A gloomy, old-fashioned Christmas breeds little wit, humor, sin and horror, and a touch of sadness.
Now everyone knows that this film has three different endings and two different endings. I think everyone has their own favorites. At the end of the comedy, it is estimated that there is still some hope for mankind. After all, two million US dollars is a lot of money, which can bring a lot of changes and visions. The tragic outcome is more in line with...

As a suspense film, it was very unsuccessful. At the beginning, it gave a suspense point of 2 million US dollars, but the protracted plot almost made people forget it, the character dialogue is long-winded and boring, and almost half of it is meaningless nonsense. A 90-minute film didn't show the first eye-catching place until 35 minutes. The script was procrastinated, the relationship between the characters was chaotic, and the performance was blunt. , the characters had a Christmas Eve that...

Overall it's a good story, albeit a bit old-fashioned. The protagonist's nervousness at the beginning of the crime is gradually relaxed after adaptation. The curtain slowly opened, one murder after another. Finally the truth came out. The protagonist and his friend (the one who was out with his ex-wife, Hong Xing) get away in a Mercedes-Benz.
The protagonist is a guy with good acting skills. After watching "Deadly ID", you know that it is more suitable for movies with similar themes....

It's very normal to see it or not. It's a waste of a good story. I was fooled to see beautiful women, but I searched around and couldn't find...

I loved John Cusack so much back then, and I was almost on par with Edward Norton, but now it looks so stupid back then, haha. Especially when I look at the films at that time, I also mixed enough water for...
Charlie Arglist: Did I ever tell you my father was a twin?
Pete Van Heuten: Identical?
Charlie Arglist: Fraternal. Looked a lot alike, though, him and my uncle. Different temperaments completely. My father, he's a cop. By-the-book guy. Believed in the law, wanted his only son to be a lawyer. Drank in moderation, didn't smoke. Kept up his life insurance premiums. Voted in every election, not just for president.
Pete Van Heuten: Lemme guess, uncle didn't vote?
Charlie Arglist: He said he didn't want to encourage the bastards. In and out of jail from the time he was 16... drunk all the time, fucked everything that walked. Won a fortune playing poker, lost it all the same way. Lost an eye in a fight. My father was 54 when he died of a massive embolism, right here in Wichita. My uncle died the very next day in a car wreck in California. So the point is... it is futile to regret. You do one thing, you do another... I mean, so what? What's the difference? Same result.
Pete Van Heuten: That was unpleasant. I think I scraped my tummy.
Vic: See, this is the whole problem with people, if you are what you do and you never do anything, then what the fuck are you? That's the way I see it anyways.
