The first to commit suicide was the youngest daughter Cecilia (Hanna R. Hall). She became fragile and low, and wanted to end her life. There was no clear reason for all of this. The parents thought that asking her to socialize with the boy would improve the situation. However, Cecelia still chose to surrender.
The one who has frequent contacts with boys and indulges in temperament is another daughter Lux (Kirsten Dunst). Lux knew the playboy Tripp, had a relationship with him, but was eventually abandoned by Tripp. The Lisbon parents were afraid of losing their daughter again, so they lost their reason. They trapped their four daughters at home and gave them the strictest protection. However, the tragedy of suicide, like an epidemic, spread rapidly.

      suffocating growth

I am particularly impressed with a line in the play: "It seems that you have never been a 13-year-old girl." I feel deeply. Suddenly let me go back to my own mental journey when I was 13 years old. Sorry, nothing. It may be too long ago, or it may be that they are too mature. Thinking so much at the age of 13. It is also possible that the suffocating policy and suffocating roles made them have to end their lives in such an extreme way to free themselves. Although, according to many people, the...

If Mr. Lisbon hadn't bought the house on that street...

It wasn't until the end of the film that I had the opportunity to see the whole picture of the neighbors' houses. Those are good houses with three or four stories high. In contrast, the small houses of the Lisbon family are simply shabby. My kind math teacher, why are you dragging your family to live in a neighborhood that doesn't match your identity?

At first it was 13-year-old Cecilia. The little girl might not really want to die. Who would have thought that she would die...

      The Virgin Suicides

A cold male voice brought the beginning of the story. Adolescence is a hurdle for the five cardamom daughters of a Lisbon family. The first to commit suicide was the youngest daughter, Cecilia (Hanna R. Hall). She became vulnerable and low, wanting to end her life for no apparent reason. The parents thought it would improve the situation by letting her go out with the boy. However, Cecilia chose to bid farewell to her life.

      stone fox

Just like any bland and hot summer, Lux turned around and left after eating the last bit of ice cream. In the summer afternoon, the cicadas cried inexplicably irritable. Mrs. Lisbon is holding the faucet to water the flowers, although we still don't know that she is Mrs. Lisbon at this time. Two young girls walked their dogs, walked past the corners of the street in direct sunlight, and walked past the shadows cast by the tall elm trees. The lumberjack nailed a felling statement on the...

The work consistently acknowledges and emphasizes that we don't understand, don't pretend, we can't find the answer. In this block, the Lisbon family is the most simple and marginal. The rich ladies skillfully regard their family as a chat after dinner, not one of them, so they do not understand the doubts of Mrs. Lisbon: there is no shortage of love in our family... and people In the same way, bad trees have to be removed, otherwise the trees in the entire block will be infected, so they have...

    Movie quotes

    • Lady in car: Those girls have a bright future ahead of them. The other one was just going to end up a kook.

    • Adult Trip Fontaine: She was the still point of the turning world, man.

    • Narrator: In the end, Parkie won because of the Cadillac, Kevin Head because he had the killer weed, and Joe Hill Conley because he won all the school prizes which Trip thought would impress Mr. and Mrs. Lisbon.
