Ender's Game

It's been a long time since I read science fiction, and when I think about it occasionally, I just took out Ni Kuang's book to review it, and just read it casually. Wouldn't even want to see those so-called new science fiction writers.
A long time ago, I was not like this. I was a fan of science fiction. At that time, I remembered that "Science Fiction World" was as important as "The King of Fairy Tales", and sometimes I was tangled because of the lack of money. What made me give up the world of sci-fi?
It's been too long, and it seems to have sunk into the deepest part of memory, but only memory can prove that it really existed. After a long, long time, there will be a flashpoint to wake up your dormant memory.
"Ender's Game" is the breaking point. At first, I didn't have much interest in this film. I checked the introduction of the film and thought it was just the same. But seeing that the starring is the child star Asa Butterfield, there is no hesitation. Now, it's a must-see movie, because, since Hugo, I've been very optimistic about this little boy with a pair of magical elf-like pupils.
The film itself is nothing but a story of finding and training gifted children, and because of the limited length of the film, it is actually a combination of the contents of several "Ender's Game" novels, and the show is not revealed until the end. It turns out that this is not just a game, Ender, the literal translation of English is Terminator, foreign movies seem to like to make articles on the meaning of people's names, or play word games, such as Neo in "The Matrix", and Each of them has a meaningful name, like Voldemort.
However, when Ender, as his name says, became the youngest genocide, I was deeply shocked. Why him? Not just because he was a genius, but because he was first and foremost a child, with an unblemished heart, and a supreme trust in the adults who led him, even when the captain said, "Ender, I'm not yours. Enemy", although his answer was "not necessarily", but please believe that Ender's heart was still full of trust and worship at that time, otherwise he would not have trained so hard. Why all adult commanders refuse to take on the fight against the Zerg, but are willing to hand over the command to a child, because none of them can believe that they can kill the genocide. Maybe this is the little bit of humanity that has never been wiped out in the depths of my heart? Unfortunately not. The commander's words gave a more realistic answer to this question. Children's minds can remember far more complex codes than adults.
When we grow up to be the adults you don't want to be, you sadly find that the so-called spirituality of your childhood has disappeared. You seem to think more comprehensively about many things, but when you are dreaming back in the middle of the night, you occasionally hear A voice is asking you, are you happy living like this?
This is the only remaining human nature. In the future of the film, Ender acts as the protector of the only remaining Zerg queen. He slaughtered a race with his own hands, but also took on the important task of reviving the race. Sometimes I feel that my favorite sentence in English is not I LOVE YOU but I Promise . The power of promises is far greater than sweet words.
Similar to the ending and plot of this movie, there is also "Prometheus". The last survivor is an elite among human beings, but she also did not choose to return to Earth, but bravely explores the depths of the universe, sometimes , We all know that once a journey begins, there is no turning back.
Finally, back to the point where I gave up "Science Fiction World", "Ender's Game" was written in 1985, it should be around that time, I once read a science fiction novel, thank God, now I finally I have the courage to narrate it. In fact, compared with many science fiction novels of the same period, it can almost be said to be a slightly ordinary story. However, my memory is very deep, just after reading that journal carrying that novel After the "World of Science Fiction", I was no longer a loyal reader of it.
The story is very simple, to the effect that in the future era the earth's ozone layer will be completely destroyed, people will not be able to survive on the surface and their skin will develop cancer, so the rich will move underground, and the poor will have to wait on the ground to die, of course, they There is another way out, that is to buy and sell the skin on one's body, in exchange for a fee to move underground. The protagonists of the story are a pair of young brothers. After their parents divorced, they lived with their poor father, but his father They didn't have enough money for them to move. The siblings thought their father was very incompetent. If they couldn't move, it meant that they would suffer from skin cancer and die under the scorching sun, so their hearts were full of resentment against their father. The result was a little bit, the father said. He was going to go away, and he would entrust the two of them to someone else to take care of them. They were even more depressed, thinking that their father must be looking for an excuse to abandon them. But this time, they thought wrong. It didn't take long before someone like a housekeeper came to pick them up and took them to the underground to live a rich life, but their father never came back.
One day, the siblings were swimming in the community swimming pool, and they saw a man who looked very rich. He was showing off his new skin to others, because almost his whole body was cancerous. The siblings watched in horror. Looking at this newcomer in front of him, he couldn't say a word, because it could be seen from the tattoos and scars on which person's body was their father's skin...
The story ends here, but the reader knows that, That poor father, who sold his hides, let his children live the life of the upper class. Now, although I can tell this story calmly, the shock of this story at that time was unacceptable to me at that age. Times have changed, but I still have such a deep memory, and I can see how this story hit me.
Yes, since then, I have stopped watching science fiction stories. The so-called science fiction is not scary. The scary thing is that this story seems to become a reality one day in the future. This is the most scary thing.
Therefore, at the end of the movie, we all understand that this is not a game, and the old saying "When talking and laughing, the ashes will be wiped out" suddenly becomes so appropriate in the current nuclear war.
So many violent and bloody games, so many people play sleepless nights, kill, become some kind of spiritual boost, whether it is victory or defeat, I don't want to see so many corpses everywhere, simple, just turn off the computer, you comfort It's just a game, myself, but what if it's not just a game?
It's really dark.

It is indeed difficult to adapt this novel into a movie, because the most exciting part is Ender's psychological changes. Unfortunately, the movie can only show the story flow of children's adventures, and many parts have been deleted due to time problems (personally dissatisfied). There are too few battle scenes in the no-gravity space, and the original book is definitely a hundred times more exciting than the movie.) As for the sequel, it is not suitable for adaptation into a movie. Saying Abi's face is really wide on the IMAX screen

Once he succeeded, Yan Yi's acting skills were quite good, but Hugo didn't feel that (the boy in striped pajamas was already very good at acting) After three years, not only did he meet Master Manchu and play opposite Han Solo, there was no ambiguity In time, it will definitely become a first-line star for the post-95s. In terms of watching movies, there is always StarCraft. When operating the ipad psychological game, it seems that you are holding the handle to play the ps4 (presumably produced by sce). The overall compression of the original is too ruthless.

Colonel Graff: I told them you were the best, we need a Julius Caesar, a Napoleon.

Major Gwen Anderson: We were hoping that would be you.

Ender Wiggin: Caesar was assassinated by the people he trusted.

Major Gwen Anderson: And Napoleon lost in the end.

Colonel Graff: Not before he conquered the known world... dismissed!

  • Major Gwen Anderson: Why did you keep kicking him? You had already won the fight. Did you enjoy it?

Ender Wiggin: No... knocking him down was the first fight. I wanted to win all the next ones too, so that he'd leave me alone.
