"The Elephant Man", based on real files, adapted from real people. Director David Lynch presents a paradoxical, dirty, Victorian 19th-century London. The film won eight Oscar nominations for its real subject matter, Hurt's brilliant performance, suffocating sound effects, and the inextinguishable warmth of the freak. "The Elephant Man" is indeed quite successful, and it is said that it will also be screened at the Beijing Film Festival. Malik, an ugly deformed man who was abused in the circus for exhibition, was rescued by a kind doctor. Although people around him were full of prejudice and disgust, he still tried to integrate into the world.
