Maybe only Tom Clancy’s book fans are happy

Tom Clancy's books are not many, but only "Rainbow Six", "Patriot Game" and "Burning Eyebrow Chase" are the only ones to count. Speaking of it, I started to get in touch with his book through playing his games.
The most important feature of his book is that it has a lot of foreshadowing, and the climax is protruding. It can be said that the first 80% of his books are foreshadowing. This is also one of his shortcomings. I only read many of the works at the beginning and I was completely confused by the complicated relationship between the characters. But once you figure out the character setting of the numerous characters, you will immediately be caught by the tense story progress, and you can only enjoy it after reading it. I haven't read the original book, but it is completely Tom Clancy's style in grasping the rhythm and atmosphere, and it can give 80 points for the film adaptation of the book. Maybe his book is not suitable for adaptation into action movies that everyone loves to see. Looking forward to "Splitting Cell" being made into a movie as soon as possible

The only bright spot: the nuclear bomb actually exploded

The Sum of All Fears quotes

  • President Robert Fowler: [Becker passes out] Get a doctor in here!

    General Lasseter: But Mr. President...

President Robert Fowler: I said get a doctor!

General Lasseter: [to the Military Aide carrying the nuclear football] Colonel! Bring me the launch codes.

  • Dressler: [to his sympathizers] Most people believe that the 20th century was a death struggle between Communism and Capitalism, and that Fascism was but a hiccup. But today we know better. Communism was a fool's errand. The followers of Marx gone from this earth, but the followers of Hitler abound and thrive. Hitler, however, had one great disadvantage. He lived in a time when Fascism, like a virus... like the AIDS virus... needed a strong host in order to spread. Germany was that host. But Germany did not prevail. The world was too big. Fortunately, the world has changed. Global communications, cable TV, the internet. Today the world is smaller and a virus does not need a strong host in order to spread. The virus... is airborne. One more thing. Let no man call us crazy. They called Hitler crazy. But Hitler was not crazy. He was stupid. You don't fight Russia *and* America. You get Russia and America to fight each other... and destroy each other.
