The babble of the mentally ill

I have watched a lot of David Lynch’s films, but most of them are not very impressive. This one is no exception.
David's films always feel very stylized, irrelevant to the details of the plot, need to be carefully set, related items full of personal imagination, and so on. Severe bias towards formalism (non-derogatory term). The key is in this impetuous era, not many people can have the patience to play this game with the director. I can understand that IMDB can get 7 points or more. After all, there are not many movies that make people want to watch it again (it's hard to understand just by watching it).
The whole film takes the inner changes of the characters as the main driving force. Unfortunately, this change is not a normal change, full of jumps and sudden changes. Those of us who are accustomed to plot-driven audiences are a little confused. The style is dull and the language is obscure. If you need to test your patience, it's worth a try.
By the way, I watched the introduction of related TV series, and the result is that I personally feel that this movie and related series can be classified as format and never hired.

Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me quotes

  • Special Agent Dale Cooper: Lately I've been filled with the knowledge that the killer will strike again. But because it is just a feeling, I am powerless to stop it. One more thing, Albert. When the next murder happens, you will help me solve it.

Carl Rodd: Let's test it for the record. Will the next victim be a man or a woman?

Special Agent Dale Cooper: A woman.

Carl Rodd: All right. What color hair will she have?

    Special Agent Dale Cooper: Blonde.

Carl Rodd: Tell me some other things about her.

Special Agent Dale Cooper: She's in high school. She is sexually active. She is using drugs. She's crying out for help.

Carl Rodd: Well damn, Cooper, that really narrows it down. You're talking about half the high school girls in America!

  • The Log Lady: [to Laura] When this kind of fire starts, it is very hard to put out. The tender boughs of innocence burn first, and the wind rises, and then all goodness is in jeopardy.
