Maria is a young and lively nun who likes to sing aloud in nature, so she often forgets the rules of the monastery. The abbot believed that Mary did not belong to a strict monastery. After discussing with the maids, the dean decided to arrange for Maria to be a tutor named Colonel Trapp. The Colonel's wife died for many years, leaving behind seven children, and he demanded strict discipline for the children. He told Maria that the tutors at his house didn't last long because of the children's mischief. Maria was also pranked, but the kind teacher did not tell their father, but took care of the child like a mother, and quickly got along with the child. The colonel gradually changed his attitude towards the children under the guidance of Maria. There was a relationship between the colonel and Maria. After they got married, they returned to Austria, which had been occupied by the Nazis.
