Dreams are simple, pure and interesting, do not give up before even trying

At the end, I was moved to cry. If wish is easy to achieve, is it a dream? I really felt a lot of encouragement from this movie. Just watching a movie, it's a standard inspirational film. But everyone has different feelings when watching movies, because they have different lives and different attachments. This movie touched me not only by Homer's insistence on dreams, but also because it is full of colors, a pure and non-utilitarian yearning.
Watching this movie in China will be more critical of reality and there will be a lot of reflection. But the dream should be so simple, the process of pursuing it is very bitter and difficult, but it should never be boring. Homer is lucky because he has the support of his friends, the persistence of his teachers, the help of the residents of the town, but it is even more because of his own persistence. His hard work, his unwillingness to give up, he has won the help and support of the people, and he has explored all kinds of possibilities.
If you want to write a critical comment, or a comment about not giving up, you can write a lot. But I stubbornly believe that the true story in the movie is simple, beautiful, and interesting. It is the exploration and realization of a boy's dream.
If teachers want to use this film to encourage students to "don't give up", it is better to use this film to tell students that dreams are colorful, dreams are not boring at all, dreams are worth striving for, dreams should not have boundaries, dreams themselves are pure ,simple. Whether it’s a rocket, a space shuttle, or any other science, as long as you have a dream, you should try it. In the face of various setbacks and practical obstacles, I tried all the methods and still couldn't achieve it, at least I tried it. The end result may be that, like Homer, he did went to space, maybe there is an insurance company like his friend or in the chemical industry or car broker. It is possible to get what you want most, or not, but the lives of these rocket boys have completely changed. They have walked out of the destiny of their parents. They have walked out of their lives. They have not achieved the same level of Homer, but they have already jumped out. The fate of the miners. This is a dream. It does not necessarily take you to the place you want, but it can take you to a higher place, allowing you to see more possibilities and more beautiful scenery.
So, don't just give up pursuing your dreams just because of the possible unsuccess. Such a dream can hardly be called a "dream". Pursue your dreams, although the ending is unknown.
The thought of fearing the consequences of pursuit should not belong to any young heart.

In 1957, "October Sky" permeated the defense anxiety of Americans during the Cold War, but the arrogance in the genes of the new generation quickly dissipated this sense of crisis. A huge American dream that surrounds the universe has settled in those low-level families at the speed of sound as a rocket takes off, but the flags of the fathers are still planted in the mines six feet below. For this reason, this themed film that sells "daydreaming" to young people shapes the reality under people's feet into a heavy stumbling block in the mud, and recognizes science as the supreme belief.

Now I don't have the feeling of excitement when watching movies about inspirational and growth. It is estimated that I am helpless. This story tells everyone that friends must be weird, and it also gives a little inspiration to the education of our country. The only way to change the fate of children in mountainous areas is to give them a good teacher. ps, Jack's big watery blue eyes~

October Sky quotes

  • Homer: Man, we should be trying to get into that science fair instead of sitting around here like a bunch of hillbillies.

Roy Lee: Well, I got some real sad news for you Homer. We *are* a bunch of hillbillies.

  • Homer: Listen, I'm sorry about what's going on around here, but it isn't my fault! What do you want from me anyway?

John: You better watch yourself, Homer.

Homer: If I go on to win at Indianapolis, I can go to college, maybe even get a job at Cape Canaveral. There's nothing here for me. The town is dying! The mine is dying! Everybody here knows that but you!

John: You want to get out so bad, then go. Go!

Homer: Yeah, I'll go! Yeah, I'll go!

    John: GO! GO!

Homer: And I'll be gone forever! I won't even look back!
