Genius Ripley

Different births create different personalities, different temperaments, people born with nothing meet people born with everything, sensitive people meet unruly people, and then fall in love with him, we are sometimes jealous, because of anger , thought or said narrow things, like Ripley killed Dick, because of narrow personality, and then lived in the dark because of the wrong things.
Who is the cause of all this? Fate, or birth, character, behavior, desire, greed, vanity, I'm afraid no one can tell. When you make a big lie, you need to keep filling it with lie after lie, and everything that comes out of it is like a net that traps you in it and never gets out.

As handsome as Alain Delon, no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't play Ripley's inherent inferiority complex, so the grassroots Matt Damon was more credible. In the end, sitting alone in the cruise ship cabin, he escaped. Punishment, but everything is lost; Minghella's golden age of learning looks like a cross between Hitchcock and Nicholas Ray.

Several times in the middle, I couldn’t stand it, because I really couldn’t bear to see the lies of the poor boy Ripley being exposed. Fortunately, I didn’t (is it really good?)

The Talented Mr. Ripley quotes

  • Marge Sherwood: Dick? Dickie? I know you can hear me. What am I doing, chasing you around...? I was going to say I would count to three and if you didn't open the door, but I won't count any more. On you. I won't count on you any more. Whatever it is, whatever you've done or haven't done, you've broken my heart. That's one thing I know you're guilty of, and I don't know why, I don't know why, I just don't know why...

  • Tom Ripley: And that's the irony, Marge. I loved you. You may was well know it, Marge: I loved you. I don't know... maybe it's grotesque of me to say this now, so just write it on a piece of paper or something and put it in your purse for a rainy day. 'Tom loves me.' 'Tom loves me.'
