Best Religious Film - The Seventh Seal by Bergman

When it comes to movies related to religion, I think the best one is Bergman's "The Seventh Seal", a girl who plays chess with death and is burned at the stake... Every scene and every line of dialogue is endless but endless... ...even Martin Scorsese said that if he were to choose a movie before he died, he would choose The Seventh Seal. This obscure 1957 film has the most powerful appeal, the deepest philosophical wisdom, and the most generous and humane connotation. It can be called great. So whenever I see scenes like religious symbols and burning witches, I can't help but think of "The Seventh Seal"~~~

An unexpectedly good-looking melodrama, with lively characters in the group play. The two passages discussing theology in the church and reading the Book of Revelation in the castle focus on showing the depth. The two passages of the flogging procession and the burning of the "witch" vividly show the religious atmosphere of the Middle Ages. Breathtaking. The dead have moral flaws to some extent, and the survival of the comedian's family of three is symbolic.

If "Wild Strawberry" is a retrospect of the past life of the lonely old man in his later years, then "The Seventh Seal" is the search for life and the resistance to death in the young age. I never thought that Bergman's films are fantastical, the fusion of dream and reality in "Wild Strawberry", and the flickering of death in "The Seventh Seal"; and the opening lines of the two films have implications for the next story. Very important inspiration; just a look and feel that I didn't really enjoy.
