not a movie review,

The anime adaptation movie [Aguila] premiered in 1988. The Olympic stadium under construction flashed at 16′52″ in the film. It was accurately predicted that 32 years later, that is, in 2020, the Olympic Games will be hosted by the city of Tokyo.

As a result, the film's male protagonist, Shotaro Kaneda, also appeared at the opening of the NHK special program [TOKYO REBORN]① as a publicity ambassador.

However, the Tokyo Olympics in the movie was interrupted by man-made disasters 147 days before the opening, just as the graffiti under the countdown board said it was "suspended".

The real East Olympics will be held on July 24, 2020. Pushing forward 147 days, it is the 28th of this month. I have a bad hunch as I watch the attitudes of the island country in response to the epidemic in recent days... But don't let it come true.

The original V2P9④ also has a similar scene, which also happened in 2019, and the time is much more generous (but it does not coincide).

① It tells about Tokyo's preparations for hosting the 2020 Olympic Games and its vision for the city's future, with a total of 6 episodes.

② A few days after this scene, Tokyo was destroyed, and it was less than 147 days (about March).

③The Chinese version of Dongli, the Japanese and English versions are on page 13 of Volume 2, and the English version is also mirrored.

It is said that [Aguila] has influenced countless movies and animations in later generations, especially in Europe and the United States, but it is really good to choose such an unlucky male protagonist (the LOGO behind it is still a "pill") for publicity?
