the value of truth

To borrow a line from the film, Private Miller asked the authorities:
what will happen the next time you want that people trust us ? Will the people trust us next time
?

Miller is a fictional character, but I believe he represents the will of the American public. The Iraq War was a fight for justice (I'm not going to argue about absolute justice, which is true, at least in the American category), and the government and the military were there to achieve that justice; the enforcers of the democratic will distorted fact!

After a few years, some people will question the value of pursuing the truth, and pragmatists will focus on the reconstruction of the country, but the soldier Miller's words are in one sentence, perhaps winning the war, perhaps rebuilding the country, But losing the trust of the people is irreversible and has long-term effects!

It seems that I have magnified the role of public trust. If you think so, it proves that in our ideology, the public is humble, and the public's trust is even more disdainful! In recent years, there have been many incidents caused by public trust, right? !

Alright alright, let's not talk about politics and end with a one sentence joke.

Don't believe any news without official denial

If a Chinese director makes such a film, it is estimated that the world will disappear immediately.

For interest groups, the fuse of war can be made by themselves. This is evident from the history of any major war. It is a pity that the peace of a country and the basic right to subsistence of the people have been sacrificed for the sake of oil.

Green Zone quotes

  • Martin Brown: You cannot just hand this country over to an exile no one's ever heard of, and a bunch of interns from Washington.

  • Wilkins: Chief, our mission is here.

Miller: You want to sit around dig holes all day, or get something done?
