Set in the not-too-distant future, Kabel (Gerard Butler), a prisoner on death row, has inadvertently become a pop culture hero of the era. Because every week, tens of thousands of eyes from all over the world are watching him fight to the death with hundreds of other criminals through an extremely violent online multiplayer game called Slayers. The game was invented by tech genius Ken Castle (played by Michael Hall). In the eyes of the wealthy young gamer who can control the every move of the game characters, Kable is just a virtual character. And for those who opposed this high-tech slavery game, Kable became a key factor in dismantling its inventor Castle in battle.
