In our opinion, the kung fu in Stephen Chow's "Kung Fu" is still exaggerated. The sound of the piano can be a knife, a god of death, a fist smashing a fissure in the ground, kicking a person like a ball, and so on, to name a few. It looks no different from those martial arts films. However, this is not the case in reality. If you are a person who knows a little about traditional Chinese martial arts, then you will see a lot of things in the film that other people can't understand - the reality of Chinese Kung Fu. Here are some things I saw:
* People who practice martial arts have the ability to fight. This fighting ability is achieved through long-term platoon training. If you don't have platoon training, then the result is that you hurt yourself when you hit someone. As Gu Long said, to beat someone, you must learn to be beaten first. There are many such wonderful plots in a martial arts scene between Huoyun Evil God and Xiaolongnu couple, but it is a little bit exaggerated.
*Stomp on attack. In the duel between the two sides, stepping on their feet is actually a kind of lock. The lower plate is locked, and then the upper plate is attacked, so that the head and tail can not be taken care of, and it is unexpected. In this film, Stephen Chow stepped on the attacker's feet in the last scene. But the use here is not a lock, but a surprise. Of course, there are also some masters who casually dismiss the taste of low-handedness.
*The spirit of martial arts practitioners. In the last scene, Zhou attacked along the stairs. Whether he was using his legs or his hands, his body did not bend or sway, which showed us the unique spirit, energy and spirit of martial arts practitioners.
...The reality of these martial arts is not seen in many other martial arts films.
In addition to the real display of martial arts, "Kung Fu" also seems to be telling some martial arts philosophy. Throughout the whole film, it seems that there are only two sentences:
"Hidden and hidden" - except for Huoyun Evil God, other masters have hidden identities: porters, tailors, rent collectors and husbands who eat soft rice, blind The begging partner and the little gangster seem to make you understand why you can't see real martial arts masters in your life.
"There is a strong middle and a strong middle" - the three masters meet the double blind, the double blind meets Yang Guo, Xiaolongnv and his wife, Xiaolongnv and his wife meet Huoyun Evil God, and finally Huoyun Evil God meets the male protagonist who has opened up the second line of Rendu. It seems that such a statement becomes a repetition, repeated enough for emphasis.
Regarding martial arts, there is another sentence in the film that I agree with very much. It is what the Huoyun Evil God said: "In all martial arts in the world, there is no stubbornness that cannot be broken, but fastness cannot be broken." My master, Wang Liangchen, a famous martial artist in Shanghai before liberation, once said a similar sentence: "No matter how good his kung fu is, I will beat the slow hand with quick hands". A "quick" character expresses the essence of martial arts.
In terms of plot, apart from some exaggeration, there is actually nothing particularly exciting. The only thing that made me stop was the scene where the beggar was selling boxing records. The previous memory appeared once, and it appeared again at the end. I don't know if it's just a comedic arrangement, or another philosophical hint about kung fu. But no matter what it is, there seems to be some life worth thinking about.
