It's not a movie review, it's a rant

The Elf King driving Howl's Moving Castle is still amazing

But it's not appropriate for a female second dressed like Wu Yifan to drive the aircraft of "Red Pig" and pretend to be a pig and eat a tiger.

When I saw the hero and heroine lying side by side on the plane floor panting after being rescued by the red pig, I felt bad.

And I was able to predict the phrase "you love him" when the zombies choked, which was praised as "Shrek" by my friends. This is definitely not an accident. The whole movie is too predictable, okay?

As for the zombies being robbed to death in the end, the setting is also drunk. In fact, it is suggested that the director should play a bigger game. In the end, the zombie should be shot in the left chest, and then say "I feel my heart is breaking. Oh no wait, I don't have a heart."

Flying a plane to bomb a bunker will always leave the last bunker in the end, and one of our teammates will always choose to die in the line of duty. Can I trouble the director to arrange an extra plane next time?

Why did the male lead change into a brown leather jacket before getting on the plane? Does the director also know the captain cool of "Rising to the Sky 2"?

In the end, the elf king didn't say "I'm your father". It can be said that the desire to survive is very strong. Why do you want to play Star Wars Terrier for a good Middle-earth version of the Matrix?

I think the director may want to make a prequel, after all, the last big killer looks super like the face-hugging bug of "Alien". So now we are complaining happily here, but maybe the director is Ridley Scott the second, making a cyberpunk-style prequel in a few decades to show the universe view behind the setting, let's wait and see!

Mortal Engines quotes

  • Katherine Valentine: How can a society so advanced, so scientific, be so stupid?

Tom Natsworthy: Well, no more stupid than people today.

  • Thaddeus Valentine: He's afraid. He's trying to hang on to a way of life that doesn't exist anymore. Municipal Darwinism. It's a dying system. Prey has all but gone. Soon, there'll be nothing left.
