British humor

The death of my father was supposed to be an ordinary family funeral, but it was full of laughs because of a psychedelic drug in a sedative bottle, turning the originally sad funeral into a final carnival.
Maybe this is British humor, everything is unexpected, but reasonable. The whole funeral was filled with a relaxed and funny atmosphere. At the end of the film, the funeral speech made the audience feel emotional, and at the same time, the funeral was finally back on track.
The following is the protagonist's speech at the funeral. I personally think that the writing is really good, true, but touching.
My father was an exceptional man.

My father was an exceptional man. He may not have been a perfect man. But he was a good man. And he loved us. All I wanted to do today was to give him a dignified…sending. Is that really so much to ask?

So... Maybe... Maybe he had some things he liked to do. Life isn't simple. It's complicated. We're all just thrown in here together in a world full of chaos and confusion, a world full of questions and no answers, with Death always lingering around the corner.

And we do our best. We can't always do our best. My dad did it best. He always tried to tell me, you have to go for what you want in life, because you never know how long you're gonna be here. And whether you succeed or you fail, the most important thing is to have tried. A parent can only drive you in the right direction. In the end though, you've got to run for yourself. You have to grow up yourself .

So when you leave here today, I'd like you to remember my father for what he really was--a decent and loving man. If only we could be as giving and generous and understanding as my father was. Then the world would be a far better place

I laughed so hard that British humour is so powerful. Accidents, coincidences, and all the necessary elements of a play have all of them, exquisite script! The title design is really innovative, and the music fits the plot very well. But there is a little regret, all the people in the play have an explanation at the end, except for the dwarf. If you can give him even a single sentence of explanation, this film will be perfect.

Life isn't simple, it's complicated, and we're all taken together into a world of chaos and turmoil, a world of questions and answers, and death always lingers in a corner. We try to be the best we can, but we can't always be the best, but, my father, he did. He kept telling me that you have to live the life you want because you never know when you're going to leave, success or failure.
