Tenderness

Ben doesn't really like female politicians like Margaret Thatcher, but this film isn't as boring as a typical biopic. Old age is interspersed with old political students, showing Mrs Thatcher's life. The characters are full of characters: passion and ideals make a little girl gain love and career; faith and opportunities make her a leader who can call the wind and the rain step by step. And under the aura of victory, the iron fist turned to stubbornness; time urges people to grow old, and the beauty is no more than an old woman after all. The acting is superb, the lines are wonderful, and the following two paragraphs are my favorite:

Where
there is discord, may we bring harmony; Where there is discord, may we bring harmony;
Where there is error, we must strive for truth
Where there is error, may we bring truth;
where there is doubt, may we bring faith; where
there is doubt, may we bring faith; where there is despair, may we bring hope. Watch your thoughts, for they become words , watch your thoughts, for they become words , watch your words, for they become your actions , watch your words, for they become your actions watch your actions, for they become habits , because they form your personality,

watch your habits, for they become your character,
watch your personality, because they will affect your destiny,
and watch your character, for it become your destiny,
what we think we will become.
what we think, we become.

The most interesting little detail in the whole play: When Mrs Thatcher walked to the door of Parliament, the welcome speech she received was: Hello, welcome to the asylum. . . :)

    Mei Gu's performance in the film is a masterpiece! Probably only Helen mirren's "Queen" can be compared.

The Iron Lady quotes

    Margaret Thatcher: You're dead, Denis.

    Denis Thatcher: Ah well, if I'm dead, who are you talking to? Shall we dance?

    Margaret Thatcher: Oh...
