Continue to sink

After watching it again, I didn't fully understand the plot, but just got a rough idea. Even so, when lying in bed quietly, there was some aftertaste, and I wanted to talk about it.
At the beginning, I didn't feel that this film was so brilliant. It wasn't until the last moment of the film that the scene of the middle-aged police hysterically swallowing marijuana gave me a strong emotional impact. This policeman broke down? Still relieved?
(Long-term) depression-relief-(endless) depression-collapse, madness,
this is his emotional change!
A sentimental and righteous hippie detective is inadvertently involved in a series of misty events in order to find his missing ex-girlfriend. Following the male protagonist’s vision, we observe all the people living in this society at all levels, and step by step reveals the hidden ugliness of this society...Finally, when the protagonist discovers his true enemy, the well-dressed upper-class elite (lawyer) ) And the huge power behind him, he compromised.
He compromised, and he can only compromise. His remaining sense of justice, his persistence has made him lose his lover, how about getting the truth? Perhaps he will lose even himself when he struggles to the end.
"Justice has been done?"
"It's true."
——Have a PI, after you have done it, are you still smoking marijuana? (Fell into a deeper abyss and can only continue to indulge.)
Smoking weed is a crime, don’t you know? Look at calling the police. Do you know this policeman, who often enforces the law against you violently. But now you also know why he enforced the law violently-he is also suffering. The partner was killed and had nowhere to redress grievances, was discriminated against, was unable to resist, and was repressed and released under strict control, so I would often beat you down. Who makes you weaker than him! Of course, you can avenge him to a certain extent, so this time he is not here to abuse you. You are as hard as you, and you start to feel sorry for each other. But has your hatred really been reported? No! Will anyone pay for your grievances? nor! Life is still bleak, and the future is still endless darkness. Think about the terrible reality, there is really no reason not to collapse-I hope good friends, for a lifetime.
How far can one person's revolution go? Fortunately, there is a future.
Where the american fate, mercifully, failed to transpire...—— "Inherent Vice"
PS: The title (novel) was translated as "Nature is evil", I think the translation is inappropriate. Like the name of the original film (writing), this is not a work that explores human nature. Some people say that this is a black humorous film, there is a point of laughter. I was so depressed that I finished reading it, and didn't laugh. Thinking about it now, it's all tears.

A black detective story, PTA is too lazy to put such a good story into the genre template of a detective movie. Such a story is easy to think of [Chinatown] movies, but it weakens the recognition of such movies. And the genre attributes have magnified its literary and contemporary texture, and omnisciently said a lot of the pictures are not acting, and reduced the driving plot and soundtrack to a very low level, but the stamina of the film is even greater. ★★★★

The Noir detective film that took the medicine, maybe only PTA can grasp the rambled lines and the psychedelic narrative with a sense of age: the wonderful combination of Phoenix Thanos, the accidental detection process, and the last moment of the story. Can solve thousands of sorrows - Caitlin's tall figure is still top-notch, and it doesn't matter if the ending doesn't end

Inherent Vice quotes

  • Sortilège: [Narrating] Doc ran through all the things he hadn't asked Shasta. Like how much she'd come to depend on Wolfmann's guaranteed level of ease and power? And least askable of all, how passionately did she really feel about old Mickey? Doc knew the likely reply, "I love him", what else? With the unspoken footnote that the word these days was being way too overused.

  • Michael Z. Wolfmann: I spent my whole life... I spent my whole life making people pay for shelter and all along I didn't realise... I didn't realise it was supposed to be for free. For free.
