[Reborn Man]: What do you do in the shadow of everything

The concept of [Reborn Man] is indeed not very new. Similar to the recent [Future Cop], even the theme of the conflict between technology and human nature can be classified into [Mechanical Enemy], [2001 Space Odyssey], [The Matrix] ] and the like in science fiction movies. It can be said that [Reborn Man] has been shrouded in the shadow of many sci-fi predecessors since its birth. The question is, with so many shadows, how do you stand out?
The most ideal way, of course, is to dig out a novel theme for the audience to discuss, otherwise it would be a good idea to cut into the indiscriminate theme from a novel angle. The original artificial replacement organs of [Reborn Man] is nothing new, but it is much more interesting that the federal company involved in the movie sends recyclers to violently collect the arrears organs. On the one hand, although the established conflict between science and technology and human relations, on the other hand, the theme of violence to maintain order is much newer. In actual operation, the film has taken a compatible path. The whole film still discusses the ethics of science and technology, but the hero Jake's statement that "society operates by rules and implementation" clearly brings out the theme of violence to maintain order. In theory, if any one of these two themes (especially the latter) can be thoroughly explored, the film will be at least at an upper-middle level. But unfortunately, the film did not dig deeper after the title was introduced, and the film remained at the stage of "revealing the theme". Except for a "bright theme", [Reborn Man] is not much better than [Future Cop] in terms of theme strength and ideological depth. Not to mention the intensity of the theme, just talking about the plot changes of the auxiliary discussion theme also seems to be aggressive: the awakening of the members of the organization, the routine of changing the guns to fight the organization? I'm sorry, only in 2002, there were already two sci-fi films [Tear Doom] and [Minority Report].
It is undeniable that there are many attempts in the film that are worth mentioning, such as the "Schrödinger's Cat" that runs through the whole film and the end that plays tricks, but more, these can only reach the status of "one mention". "Schrödinger's Cat" directly takes the meaning of "fuzzy" for the sake of echoing the ending. Personally, I have serious reservations about the ending. This kind of trick may make the audience feel the thrill of turning around in a short period of time, but after the thrill, we will think back: Since the second half of the paragraph is all the credit of the neural network M5, does that mean that Pink Can the meaning of self-recycling in the Room be ignored? In this way, the second half can also be overturned and ignored? Indeed, in addition to emphasizing the theme of "conflict between technology and human nature" (just emphasized), whether the setting at the end is appropriate should really be changed.
Speaking of "Shadow", the picture style of [Reborn Man] is as cold and tough as most of Philip K.Dick's film adaptations. However, the direction of the movie is like [Tear Doomsday]. There is no big investment and it has to go the action way to be cool, but it is replaced by the blood way, so it has a cult color. After going this route, [Reborn Man] is a solid commercial and entertainment movie. All kinds of blood can barely be said to be "beautiful" splashing around, adding a little visual impact. Not much, really don't know how to recover the cost.
It seems that Jude Law can always play well as long as it encounters cool-toned sci-fi movies, such as the amazing [Near Shot], and then [Artificial Intelligence], and then for example, Jude in this rather poor [Reborn Man]. Really "man" once... The role of the actor, apart from throwing out the phrase "violent order", I really didn't find any other role.
After all, [Rebirth Man] has neither the theme of earth-shattering crying ghosts and gods, nor the eye-catching action scenes. The whole film is full of tepid plots, blood, and various shadows. What should people say about such a movie?

I also think "the hallway hack and slash is a tribute to the old boy", but it feels a lot worse and the ending is not bad!
