Bad-tempered, real and iron-blooded old man, not bad, worth watching several times and savoring

Getting to know and adore real people through movies is probably a rare experience. I'd really love to serve under a general who calls me a battle hero when I'm wounded, silently medals me when I'm dead, kicks my ass when I wince scolded. But the world owes him a lot. He was convicted for his words, not because of the war. The newspapers and media, who are afraid that the world will not be in chaos, deserve to die 10,000 times.

Patton: Now, there's one thing that you men will be able to say when you get back home. And you may thank God for it. Thirty years from now, when you're sitting around your fireside with your grandson on your knee and he asks you, "What did you do in the great World War II," you won't have to say, "Well... I shoveled shit in Louisiana."

Capt. Oskar Steiger: Everything will be destroyed, General, that I can promise you.
