Norman is a kid who can see a soul, and everyone around him thinks he's a freak. He can talk to spirits, and in the eyes of most people he is talking to himself. Everyone in the town spurned him, and his classmates didn't associate with him. Only a little fat man is willing to chat and play with him.
By accident, Norman failed to prevent the curse from happening 300 years ago, so everyone in the town knew that the curse was real. Little Norman's bravery calmed things down forever. Little Norman communicated with the little girl's soul and healed the grievance that existed for more than 300 years.
