About terrorist attacks

"Only love can conquer fear."

Documentary footage is interspersed with real surveillance images, and the more than 100 hours of Boston before and after 2013.4.15 is completely displayed on the screen.

In fact, the video about Meng Dan's witty escape to help the FBI capture terrorists became popular on the Chinese Internet a few years ago. I can't help applauding this Chinese compatriot, because I basically don't have the courage to open the car door and say f**ku to the terrorists. However, this is only part of the whole terrorist attack, the key but not the whole. The reason why the terrorists can be quickly caught in 106 hours is due to the efforts of the whole city.

The most heart-wrenching scene in the film is when the first explosion occurs, astonished and overwhelmed people look towards the explosion point. Only a few seconds later, the second explosion occurred, and the people at the second explosion point were still in a panic. It was this second explosion that completely destroyed the hearts of the audience. Everyone started to run around in all directions, and no one thought that their position was the third explosion point.

Family, love, friendship, what happens when human emotions encounter a terrorist attack? The movie tells us that love can conquer all fears, just like the couple with broken legs in the movie, the father and son who were forced to separate.

Peace and Love.

The movie itself (acting, dialogue, poor chicken soup) isn't great, but the shock of real events completely outweighs the occasional drama.

I always feel that this story should stay in the form of a documentary, because after it is transformed into a film, there will inevitably be many pre-set expressions and suspicions of over-interpretation. Looking at the final product, I think it's done pretty well. Peter Berg talked about the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, and successfully completed another current political hotspot. That kind of skill suggests that maybe he should be running American Crime Story instead of Ryan Murphy.

Patriots Day quotes

  • Tommy Saunders: What happened with "Shan-creek-a"?

Harrold: I was just going over there to have an appointment with this female, and this lady came out of nowhere and brained me with a smoothie.

Tommy Saunders: Her daughter said you pushed her.

Harrold: Sir, i was tryin' to make an escape...

Tommy Saunders: Did you push her?

    Harrold: After the smoothie.

    Tommy Saunders: So you did...

Commissioner Ed Davis: What's up, Tommy?

Tommy Saunders: Whoa, this an occasion. Comish exittin' the SUV?

Commissioner Ed Davis: Is this a homicide?

Tommy Saunders: It's not, you've been misinformed.

Commissioner Ed Davis: You're fucking kidding me, it's not a homicide?

    Tommy Saunders: Nope.

    Harrold: No sir. No sir.

Commissioner Ed Davis: Why are you bleeding?

Harrold: I was trying' to tell you officers, sir. This woman is crazy. She hit me with a fucking smoothie in the head.

Tommy Saunders: What are you talking about? Like, a drink or somethin'?

Harrold: No, like a fuckin' smoothie, you know? Like you would smooth your cloths with?

Tommy Saunders: An iron? A fucking iron?

Commissioner Ed Davis: An iron. For fuck sake!

Tommy Saunders: It's called an iron, Harrold.

    Harrold: Yes sir, a smoothie!

    Tommy Saunders: Shut up!
