Meryl Streep is great! A charming "old-fashioned" woman. Elegant and refined, she does everything well! Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin are "old men" with very different personalities. One is very coquettish, the other is really boring. It can be said to complement each other.
The film doesn't care about any analysis of marriage and love. When Adam said, "I think it's better that we no longer have anything to do with each other", how helpless and unwilling is Jane's praise. Even subsequent requests are included. But sometimes, a certain kind of man is just that.
Love is really complicated!
But love yourself and go in the right direction.
