Dinosaur Master: "Dinosaur Beckham" who went astray

Branson 2021-12-19 08:01:04

As Pixar's 16th (it was supposed to be 15) animated feature film, this is a very "amazing" animated film.
And not in a good way.

Regarding the performance of Pixar Studios in recent years, I have already talked about it in the article "When Inception Raped Toy Story", so I won't repeat it here. However, the fact that cannot be ignored is that after "Toy Story 3", the empathy and absent-mindedness of several veterans are important reasons for the gradual loss of control over the quality of the film from "Cars Story" to "Home Alone". And with the return of several people, starting from the timely and strong takeover of "Brain Agents", starting from the return of the famous IP, the future Pixar studio is still worth looking forward to.
And when it comes to receiving in time, this one can’t be accepted. The ticket skipped and the rebuilt "Home Alone" has become Pixar’s animation history, and even the worst member in the history of CG animation developed by Pixar itself.
It is not an exaggeration to say that, except for the picture and the soundtrack, it is almost useless.
By convention, before we talk about the feature film, we can simply take a look at the behind-the-scenes work that few people pay attention to.
Director Peter Thorne, his only directing work before is "The Violent Cloud and Sending a Child Crane"; while he is engaged in story creation at the same time as the senior Pixar screenwriter Bob Peterson, in addition to two other novices; and finally completed the script , Is a newcomer.
As an animated film created almost entirely by newcomers, many problems will inevitably arise. For example, excessive focus on innovation and lack of balance, such as pursuing the overall feeling and ignoring the importance of various details.
And this kind of dissonance is magnified step by step in the movie until it collapses.
However, even if there is a large number of special approvals for "Home Alone", it must be affirmed that the film is the pinnacle of environmental creation. "Home Alone" has created an unprecedented animation world, with amazing visual effects comparable to top special effects companies. From small waves to large mountains, up to clouds and down to the bottom, it is indistinguishable from the real scene. Especially in the control of light and shadow, most special effects companies are amazed.
In any case, this is a brave attempt in the history of animation. Of course, this is not the first time. 15 years ago, Disney did it in "Dinosaurs" (!), and the details are even more outstanding than "Dinosaurs".
But both of these animated films made the same mistake:
this is not "Walk with Dinosaurs", nor is it a scenic film.
But if the original intention of "Dinosaurs" is to create a new type of real-life style full CG production of money-burning scenery films, then naturally there is nothing to say.
Since it is an animated film, it must have a matching artistic style. The Uncanny Valley tragedy in "Final Fantasy" still reverberates, and "Owl Kingdom" is only five years old. But even "Final Fantasy", "Owl Kingdom", and "Dinosaurs" did not dare to tell stories with two styles in the same shot.
While pursuing photorealism, while keeping the main character like a rubber toy, there are frequent interactions between the two-are
you sure this is not "Who Framed Roger Rabbit"?
Of course, "Home Alone" is far inferior to "Who Framed Roger the Rabbit", which is unique in terms of artistic value and depth of irony. The story of "Home Alone" perfectly maintains the appreciation level of those under 6 years old.
As Pixar’s first attempt to use a juvenile role as the protagonist, there is such a kindergarten-level bedtime story. There is only one word to describe:
Bravo.
And again, not the good way.

It can be seen that "Home Alone" was developed from an original idea: that is, what would happen if the dinosaurs did not become extinct. But the setting developed by this idea not only makes science spit blood, but also makes art quite embarrassing.
Surely some people will say that there must be a problem in the head of the person who is looking for truth in a fictional story. But now that Pixar has achieved this level of special effects for the entire scene, since the director and others have said in the behind-the-scenes interview how much effort has been made to create the realism of this world, they have to use this excuse to avoid science. I can only say yes. A good apprentice of Teacher Xiao Cui.
We don’t say how reasonable it is for dinosaurs to develop into an agro-pastoral society, but they don’t even have flexible and liberated upper limbs, and they can build sheds and cultivate land with just one mouth. This has obliterated the evolutionary existence of humans and the entire primate. Significance; we don’t talk about Tyrannosaurus rex’s awkward running posture, which has been changed to cater to the cowboy style, which is totally unreasonable, but as a large cold-blooded warm-blooded animal that doesn’t even need to wear clothes and doesn’t even grow hair, it needs to make a fire at night. The heating is enough to make people stunned, let alone how the fire was born; we don’t say how the earth in the universe can have a luminosity comparable to the sun, how can most of the earth have no clouds, but it is exposed to the hunting of meat. Strong hostility, this blind and unbalanced conscious tendency of vegetarianism is already obvious.
The same is eating meat, the farmed ones can be killed if they are ugly, but the wild ones can't be swallowed when they are cute?
You can say that this is nitpicking, but this is Pixar, and it is Pixar who is used to pushing himself to a dead end.
Even if most of the audience is not high in scientific literacy, how can this gummy-like personality be integrated with the background of the landscape painting without violating it? Obviously, no suitable solution has been found.
The characters in "Home Alone" are already quite rudimentary.
For the time being, the main characters can be counted with two hands. From the perspective of the main characters that appear, the recognition of the image is extremely low, and the utilization rate of the characters is extremely low. We can even say that it is the complete failure of the image design that led to the unbearable number and utilization of characters.
The whole pale and young story can be roughly divided into 6 paragraphs. Except for the parents and villains, other characters only appear in their own paragraphs. Apart from acting as a passer-by, there is no sublimation and no-pointing function for the whole story.
You can say that everyone in life is a hurried passerby. But in the movie, this is the JB egg.
The role is powerless, and with it comes the powerlessness of dramatic conflict. This similar hollow feature is similar to the Scientology work "Return to the Earth" written by Shi Huangpeng's son, and even the spiritual core of expression is surprisingly consistent. And the lack of nutrition and in-depth relationship between the plot and the characters is close to Disney’s direct release of "Plane Mobilization" on DVD.
And "Home Alone" even parodyed part of the drama of "The Lion King."
However, there is a difference of 100 "Ice Age" between "Home Alone" and "The Lion King."
Now that it comes to "Ice Age", a small comparison between the two will make the gap even more obvious. "Ice Age" is the first blockbuster blockbuster in the Blue Sky Studio series. The modeling of the first episode in 2002 is still very rudimentary. The number of polygons in both the characters and the scene is not high, and the lines are very hard. It is true that it will be in the sequel. It has been upgraded many times, but the general artistic style has been established, and it has also been well integrated. On the other hand, in "Home Alone", Pixar's famous technology has no effect on the hair special effects. As a result, the shape of Tyrannosaurus rex is almost the doctrine of "Ice Age 3". "Ice Age" has unique settings and in-depth exploration in both the line design and the relationship between the characters. The same is to send the children home, and the audience can easily feel the emotional connection established between the person and the protagonist. The "Home Alone" scored almost 0 in this respect. The setting of the protagonist of the dinosaur and the human pet only stayed on the setting, completely giving up deeper exploration. The human child is a dog (wolf) in human skin. , There is no character at all-and the Doug of "Flying House Around the Travels" is really a dog, and he has a character more than this person.
This feeling of twisting, just like the overall style of happy chatting with different styles, is permeated in every frame of the movie.
And the plot? Does this story like "Little Cat" still have a plot?
And look at the efforts of "The Cat" in the role growth, the effort in the meaning of the story and the thought, and then look at the limitations of "the Cat" in the production, don't "Home Alone" feel ashamed?
Ha ha.

"Home Alone" is quite disappointing as a Pixar movie. Topics involving death are neither suitable for children, nor for adults with scribbled stories. The story line is too weak, the characters lack credibility, and the perfunctory ending is quite terrible. Disney and Pixar’s low-key publicity for this film may also recognize their lack of quality.
Compared with "The Hunger Games III", which was released the previous week and was crowned by Zhuang Zhou, the scores of "Home Alone" and "The Hunger Games 3" are surprisingly similar in major media, and the scores include The face points are also surprisingly similar.
"My child, palms and backs of hands are all meat, no matter how bears can't bear to beat them" mentality has long been clear.
By the way, one of the horrible aesthetics is comparable to the use of hallucinogens in "Taoist Down the Mountain", and it is even more likely to be a bad stimulus for teenagers to take drugs. People can't help thinking about whether the classification and review department is open to the Internet, with one eye open and one eye closed.
However, maybe the MPAA sees here, his eyes are already closed, and he is asleep.

The human-shaped dog-like wild doll is inexplicably flattering Arlo, and the lame sincerity turns into war. How can the team formed for the purpose of forming a team break up? The performance of "home" as the core appeal point is also not in place. Whether it is "covering footprints" or "drawing circles", form is more important than substance. The whole film lacks intentions and shows more than enough skills. If it is just looking at the scenery, it is quite pleasing to the eye.
