Purple

Spielberg's 1985 classic "Purple" I'm only enjoying now.
The beautiful purple flowers and the high-five ballads of the little girls among the flowers reflect only the suffering, awakening, and forgiveness of black women. Life is so hard and so hard, but the film goes on in an orderly and interesting way, shining the black's Tenacity and Optimism.
Caring, appreciating, singing, never betrayed... are enough to illuminate a humble life, how touching!
At the end of the film, the soprano slams the chant, and the black female singer leads the crowd to the church.

  • Celie: [to Shug] He beat me when you ain't here.

    Shug: Who do? Albert?

    Celie: Mister.

    Shug: Why he do that?

Celie: He beat me for not being you.

  • Shug: See Daddy, sinners have souls too.
