Just do your best to complete-"Burnt" review

I went to SH on a business trip and watched a movie on the plane, called "Burnt" ("Burnt Chef"). I would choose this because the time is 1 hour and 40 minutes, and the flight time from GZ to SH is 2 hours.

The plot has always been mediocre: telling the story of a talented chef who became addicted to drugs, bankrupted his master, and made everyone unemployed. He left Paris, disappeared for three years, peeled 1 million oysters as his punishment, and then turned to London to reopen. The restaurant was still followed by a large group of people, and also met the female chefs who admired each other, and paid off a large sum of money owed to the drug lord and so on.

It's the familiar protagonist halo, which is so old, and the plot is actually full of grooves, isn't it?

The story tells the story of a genius madman. After his comeback, his goal is to smash the three-star Michelin restaurant for the third time (of course, there is a small opener who loves him beyond the limit). For this reason, I did all kinds of details, made various attempts, and pursued perfection in everything. Every day, I broke the kitchen staff, and then on the day when I was beaten by the drug lord, I found that two inspectors who should be Michelin came to the restaurant. ..... So the male protagonist went into battle with injuries and repeatedly confirmed the details with everyone. Finally, he was full of joy and gave out what he thought was the best dish, but was returned by those two people—the reason was that a dessert was too spicy. .
The truth is that a black chef from Karma specially added chili to this dessert (because the male protagonist put rats in the restaurant and called the hygienist hotline).

The male protagonist was desperate. After all kinds of drinking and talking with the enemy, etc., Xiao Kai, who had always loved him, called and checked, and found that the two suspected Michelin inspectors were just ordinary salesmen. In other words, the male lead still has a chance.

Seeing this, do you think the male protagonist will eventually get a Michelin star for the third time? When I watched the last ten minutes, there were tears in my eyes, and I really liked the ending of the show.

Finally, two more people who were suspected of being Michelin inspectors came, everyone was very nervous, but the male lead was very calm, and said indifferently: We will do our best to finish it. Then began to work.

At the end of the story, the protagonist and everyone ate together on the same stage. The protagonist and Xiao Kai smiled similarly on the balcony, but the story did not go as we wished, telling us that the protagonist got the three stars again.

Is it important? I think the story is not important anymore. I believe he will get it. Even if it doesn’t, it’s no longer important. For the things you like, you can do your best. There is no need to demand perfection, so everyone is very hard.

There is also a line I like very much: The problem is too good: you become indispensable.

Not enough food scenes; supporting actor Daniel Brühl is beautiful

The works are full of color and fragrance. He is irritable and eccentric, dealing with the transformation of an unpleasant character from hard to soft, and Coorper has a high degree of completion. But the most outstanding one is Brühl, who properly controls the throbbing, patience, and ambiguous feelings with the male protagonist in the character. While being refreshed about the food, people feel the hardship of cooking behind and the close cooperation of chef and his team, with a unique perspective.

Burnt quotes

  • Adam Jones: Closed down any, uh, good restaurants lately?

Simone Forth: I don't close good restaurants, my reviews close bad ones.

  • Dr Rosshilde: In my experience, people who come in here and make silly comments are generally frightened of what they might reveal if they really took the time to be themselves.

Adam Jones: Oh, I've been myself since the '90s.
