: The Chinese translation is terrible. And the original name seems to be too deep. Neither can adequately express this movie.

: The warm and peaceful first half of the movie makes people think it's a romance or a theory movie -- until Clay gets on the operating table, it really brings people into its normal rhythm. The second half of the "strong rebound" reminds me of the plot setting in the famous "Wild Thing" ("Kill the Dead") in 1998. A narrative similar to "subverting the previous situation" actually requires some rigorous logical reasoning, which is a test of the screenwriter's ability, and must have a convincing plot. On this point, this film is obviously not very satisfactory.

: The director did a good job. He did it by telling the story through the pictures. Especially after Clay was on the operating table, the film was narrated from multiple perspectives, and there was no chaos. Awake quotes

  • Dr. Jack Harper: [closing narration] At 6:32 this morning, on Thursday the 1st of November, Clayton Beresford Jr. died on my operating table. Two and a half hours later, his life was saved. There are no excuses for what we did. There's no defense, no-one to blame but us. We got what we deserved. Clay would have his revenge, and justice would finally be served. But despite all the secrets, despite all the lies, and a terrible loss, one thing really matters now. He... is... awake.

  • Lilith Beresford: Clay, you've got your whole life ahead of you.

    Clay Beresford: Do I?
