Disgusting and tired body VS clean suffocating abstinence

Before going to bed, I played with my phone, clicked on this movie, and watched it at four o'clock in the morning.

I didn't feel dull and boring. If you want to like Bergman's movies, you need a state of life: introspective, mixed with religious questions and thinking, and swayed and struggled in sensuality and abstinence. People in this state of life are likely to enjoy watching Bergman's movies.

The film is very rich and can be discussed separately on multiple topics. Among them, the topic "The Way of Redemption" I am most interested in, so I can give some thoughts on this topic.

The beginning of the movie shows the rich and enjoyable life of the world. The Christmas party is a bit like the Chinese New Year. The food and wine are lively and lustful, enjoyment and lively feast, but the details are exhausted and disgusting, bald sweat, Loose body, drooling nose and farting, and greasy nausea and headache after meals. When Carl went home, he had a nervous emotional attack, and he hated his hatred of his wife and his weak body. He wailed: "Life, it's shameful to be old and poor...". This pain is comparable to hell.

And what about religious life? As soon as the pastor came out, that tough body, although not young, but a very tight face (compared to the three brothers’ slack, fat and tired faces), it seemed that abstinence was the salvation of enjoying life, and the pastor was truly devoutly following God, it’s wrong. If he succumbed to the temptation of pleasure or the oppression of reality, he strictly demanded himself and others, but after all, he was just a mortal, a flesh and blood body. There was depression in his physical movements, and his expression revealed a deep self-restraint. His violent tendencies were suppressed by him. His hand stretched out to the necks of Alexander and Finney but finally withdrew restrainedly, Alexander and Finney. Ni was devastated by the oppression of this asceticism. How can a child who does not believe in God endure the cold ascetic life?

Finally, the bearded Jew uttered a section of Revelation. It seems that the earthly hope is salvation? This view is also mentioned in Bergman's "Marriage Life": maturity is to be full of hope in life, and to be able to realize it after seeing the reality. In the end, Emily returned to the theater to start her dramatic career, leading to a completely different path from the past.

The TV version is an enlightening work for watching movies. The structure of the stage play, the exquisite pictures, the presentation of faith and surreal elements from the perspective of children is very natural; the quotations of Schumann's works are very appropriate. After reading "The Magic Lamp" Seeing how much autobiographical elements Bergman puts into the finale, despite the resentment in his heart, it can still be seen as a fantasy reconciliation with childhood memories.

Probably the best children's movie I've ever seen. In the bizarre world of adulthood, looking up and confronting, every childhood experience is an adventure. "He can't tell the truth and the lie", the world of the movie does not have the truth and the lie.

  • Jacobis hus - Isak Jacobi: Everything is alive. And everything is God, or God's intention. Not only the good things, but the cruelest and worst. What do you think?

Ekdahlska huset - Alexander Ekdahl: If there is a God, he's a shit and piss God, that I'd like to kick in the arse.
