Choose to see, or turn a blind eye - the end of the video

At the end of the film, the male protagonist is lost because he returns to the park and finds that the body is gone. He was walking along the road when a clown actor (a college student club) in a jeep happened to stop at the tennis court in front of him. Two clowns, a man and a woman, entered first and played tennis without real objects. The male protagonist gradually became fascinated, but he was far away from the other clowns watching. After a few rounds, the tennis ball was accidentally played out of the court. The female clown shrugged and asked the male protagonist to pick up the ball. The male protagonist walked slowly onto the lawn under the eyes of all the clowns, then put down the camera, picked up the tennis ball, and went up high. Tossed to the field, and then in his eyes swaying from side to side, we know, the Joker starts the game again.

Aside from the still deeply fascinating theme (being/nothingness), one of the main things that attracted me to this Antonioni was the sound. At the beginning, I was attracted by the noise/silence combination, and the natural sounds in the park were also amplified. In addition, the fascinating application of glass mirrors is again seen in Antonioni's work. The switch from a subjective perspective to a director's perspective is also amazing. After the tennis ball is thrown at the end, the sound of the tennis game gradually emerges, which is wonderful.

The camera was addictive to use, and it was used to replicate the world when the human landscape began to change at a dizzying rate. The scene captured by the viewfinder is a sign of the past presence, and even because of its complete time and space cut, it will be regarded as a substitute for memory. But if you only want to appear through the lens, relying on the image of a specific scene frame, complete the presence, and confirm the existence, then it is inevitable to return to Plato's cave as the way to end.
