can not appreciate

As an English student, the foreign teachers gave us homework.

It's hard to find online resources, but when I finally found it, I opened it with joy. In fact, I'm a little unhappy.

Although this is a war movie, the content is strongly disturbing. The history described is objective and true, and the actors' actions and words are in place. Shouting, fighting, arrogance, helplessness, sadness... But, I really can't stand the British soldier who only knows how to swear at every turn, just like that in a few minutes. After seeing 30 minutes, I gave up and I couldn't watch it any longer.

I was born in what is known as the "Age of Pleasure". There is no war, no hunger, no computer and mobile phones are popular in the world... I can feel a little bit of the old times, and I can enjoy the fruits of technological progress. In contrast to the history of Ireland, think about China. I thank the ancestors and martyrs who sacrificed themselves for the sake of future generations. I am grateful to the awakened compatriots, who can not only drive colleagues and classmates, but also contribute to the country

No regrets in this life to enter China

Will be Chinese in the next life

The Irish War of Independence is good everywhere, the camera moves, and the narrative is strong and neat; the later battle between the royalists and the republicans is stylized, and in the final suicide note, the feeling I want in my mind is Qu Qiubai [excessive words] rather than Lin Juemin's "Book with His Wife". The protagonist should be a Qu Qiubai-style character. Worst Ken Loach ever. Three and a half.

I tried not to get into this war, and did, and now try to get out and can't

The Wind that Shakes the Barley quotes

  • Chris: Promise me, Damien. Promise me you won't bury me next to him?

    [points to Sir John]

Damien: The chapel. Do you remember, on the way up? Do you remember?

    Chris: Yeah.

    Damien: In there.

Chris: Tell Teddy I'm sorry. I'm scared, Damien.

Damien: [sighs] Have you said your prayers?

    Chris: Yeah.

    Damien: God protect you.

  • Damien: [to Teddy] You have wrapped yourself in the fucking Union Jack! The butcher's apron, boy!
