Sol thinks he is just a walking corpse who survives in a concentration camp and is embarrassed by the tiger. Seeing the boy who survived the gas chamber made him feel like he had witnessed a miracle, and burying him in the Jewish ritual was as sacred as the disciples secretly burying Jesus, risking his life for self-redemption. At the end Thor, frustrated by his failure to pull the boy's body to the bank, suddenly finds a young Polish boy standing at the door, as if his piety had been promised, even though it was also a prelude to the demise of his earthly life.

The unique feature of the film is that it always focuses on the protagonist in close-up, and the shooting method of blurred background, which not only presents the hell on earth very realistically (really the most terrifying and shocking World War II concentration camp movie, the fire of gas chambers and mass graves) but not the same. It will give you nightmares and let the audience experience the perspective of the protagonist Sol's own, that is, focusing only on the things that Sol cares about. The false rabbi symbolizes the death of God, and the narrow picture is repressed.

The big screen is like a mirror, the audience’s perspective is blurred, but the protagonist’s POV’s feeling is an anxious and depressed object in the mirror, a concentration camp hell that can be experienced. The short focal length is almost applied to the face. I have to admit that the concept, perspective, technology and intention of this film are very tricky, unlike a novice work. But it definitely belongs to the film I don't want to watch the second time. The protagonist who insists on going his own way, the unwarranted son, did dig a big hole for others
