This is a magical world where magic is commonplace. The father of young Thomas Ward (Ben Barnes) is ranked seventh, and he is also the seventh son of his father. He was born with strange abilities, and he can always see what is about to happen in the future in a coma. One day, a mysterious man came to the door, and the other party was the famous witcher Gregory (Jeff Bridges). In the past years, Gregory has lost many apprentices, so he found Thomas as the seventh son and took him on an unprecedented path of practice. At the same time, Dark Queen Malkin (Julianne Moore) is patiently waiting for the arrival of the blood moon night. By then her abilities will be greatly enhanced, and her rival Gregory will never sit idly by.

Seriously unfinished, the special effects in the first half of the film are exquisite, and the literary and martial arts are still decent. It became more and more top-heavy, and the final duel was too much to deal with, and all kinds of awesome villain BOSS were simply vulnerable, perhaps to save money. Bridges' acting skills are still there, the male protagonist is dumbfounded and busy kissing, and Moore is in the form of a beast most of the time. The whole film is quite nonsense. The 2014 San Diego Comic-Con was a life-threatening publicity, but it was so bad!

Too bad, there's no sign at all.

  • Master Gregory: [seeing the tavern] I will pick up provisions.

    Tom Ward: Provisions...

Master Gregory: Liquids. Needed to ward off evil spirits.

    Tom Ward: Fermented liquids?

Master Gregory: Lest I forgot, pick up grease, salt, flour, and bacon.

Tom Ward: I'm starting to wish I was a sixth son.
