This bowl of Korean "corpse" dishes is really not fragrant

Before watching it, I thought "Alive" was "Train to Busan".

After reading it, I found out that it turned out to be "Train to Busan 2".

If you only write a short review, and only want to give two words, "this is it"?

The story of this film is very simple. It mainly tells that in the context of the outbreak of the zombie virus, Wu Junyu, played by Yoo Ah-in, and Kim Yoo-bin, played by Park Shin-hye, accidentally discovered the existence of each other. The two decided to jointly resist and avoid the attack of the zombies, and escaped at the last moment.

To put it simply, it is the mutual redemption of the bereaved otaku and the "Valkyrie".

Let's put aside the plot bugs of the "Miracle on Earth" series, such as being stuck at home for more than half a month with no change in hair and refreshing bangs.

On the whole, "#Alive" is too mediocre.

First, there is no pattern, second, there is no true feelings, and there is not much torture of human nature. This bowl of Korean "corpse" dishes probably does not have the aroma of instant noodles cooked by the protagonist in the movie.

At best, it can only be counted as a shriveled scrap of apocalyptic diary, broken and uninteresting.

It is a pity that zombie films were originally a subject that was very easy to arouse empathy and a sense of substitution in the post-epidemic era.

For example, the scene of the protagonist when he initially planned the supply made me instantly dream back to February - to buy vegetables regularly, and to roughly allocate the menu for the next three days. It's all too common during this time.

For another example, the scene of the male protagonist wandering between the living room and the bedroom, lying on the sofa boredly, is also very familiar to Chinese people who have an infinite loop of "one day trip to the bedroom".

To go into more detail, taking in a lot of epidemic information every day, waiting for experts to announce the latest situation, almost escalating the situation of updating the epidemic related to "stereotyped behavior" is not much different from waking up and staring at the TV screen every day.

If the "virus" is personified, then the zombie film is almost another figurative imagination of our plague - surrounded by zombies (unknown infected persons), infectious zombie virus, forced to retract into a small space and Use this as a refuge, etc.

More importantly, we have all experienced the consequences of the collapse of the social order and the consequent collapse of humanity.

In short, these bloody imaginations may seem a little heavy at the moment.

There used to be a saying that horror movies are our safe imagination of danger.

It probably means that we can substitute the protagonist and get a safe and almost zero-cost dopamine surge experience.

After all, the audience in front of the screen doesn't need to be really in danger, at most it is scared to sweat.

But at this moment, the context of this sentence has changed slightly:

"We can never go back to the world we were in before the pandemic."

The new cold war is basically established, the digital iron curtain is slowly falling, and even the frequency of the word "nuclear war" has begun to increase, and the "madmen" who advocate war are slowly awakening.

No one can be sure whether the white dove named "Peace" will really be frightened and flutter away.

Until then, where is the real refuge?

*It is undeniable that the last few paragraphs are just an over-association of me, a pessimist, but the drastic changes in the external environment have indeed made my film-watching mentality a bit subtle.

Finally, there is a rather ironic point in the film.

When the male protagonist finally realized that the outside world had fallen and he was in a desperate situation, he suddenly received a bank debit text message.

This means that even if the external order collapses, capitalism's exploitation of people will not stagnate, and its inertia has become so strong that even zombie viruses cannot stop it.

If you think this hint is not obvious enough, then the following plot may be enough as circumstantial evidence-

When the actor was watching the virus research report on time, the TV station did not forget to insert an advertisement.

In this way, the indestructible commercial society and its double (consumerism) will be stronger than ordinary people's lives even when the end times come.

Of course, we can also look at it from another angle: capitalism, like a virus, deepens the alienation of people all the time.

Even more frightening, the virus doesn't seem to have a vaccine either...

    1. After the middle-aged uncle on the eighth floor fascinated Park Shin-hye, he dragged it to the bedroom to feed his wife who had become a zombie. The scriptwriter’s love-filled brain circuit almost made me believe in marriage and love again; 2. A large part of the story is presented when an unknown virus strikes, and the uninfected people stay safe at home. It is in line with reality, and it is also a rare arrangement in the theme of zombies. .
