why it is great

It should be because of Al Pacino that I made this film. I have to say that his performance is excellent, and it portrays Dr. Jack Kevorkian's perseverance and toughness very well.

Jack Kevorkian, born in 1928, American pathologist, death rights advocate, painter, composer, and instrumentalist, helped euthanize at least 130 patients. Famous saying: Dying is not a crime. Beginning in 1999, serving a prison sentence to 2007 for second-degree murder.

As far as the plot is concerned, it is similar to Extraordinary Measures. A doctor who behaves erratically, has a unique perspective that is different from everyone else, and fights for the cause he insists on. It's just that Jack is more topical. He is not a treatment, but a painless death of the patient. Why do people not even have the right to choose their own life and death? Even in the supposedly democratic United States, the issue remains controversial. Without legal support, Jack decided to challenge authority and fight for his rights, even at the risk of going to jail. This kind of self-serving spirit is too powerful.

Al Pacino is getting old, leaving us with less and less work, but it never disappoints. To be honest, no one has more say than doctors on the topic of euthanasia, so leave this issue to them. After watching the movie, I am very willing to leave this decision to Jack.

I've always thought that people on hunger strikes are great. . . Then. . . What courage it takes to agree and face the death of the one you love most in front of you! !

You Don't Know Jack quotes

  • Geoffery Fieger: I'm going to kick your ass 'til my legs fall off.

  • Jack Kevorkian: It's emotionalism. You know, when heart transplants first started... there was the same prevalent feeling, I mean, even among doctors... that it was wrong, it was contrary to God's will, contrary to nature. Isn't it ghoulish to rip a person's chest open and take out a heart? Or a bypass operation? Ether is the same thing. You have ether, been around for centuries, it wasn't used. Not till 1846. It was discovered in 1543... and before that, everybody was being operated on while they were awake. Surgeons were cutting them open while they were awake. Did you know that, Geoff?

    Geoffery Fieger: No.

Jack Kevorkian: On, yes. And you know why it was banned? Because of religious dogma. Because of the foolish notion... that there's a God Almighty who wills us to suffer.
