Personal bravery and fantasy heroism without real morality

It was released very late in North America and was released in March 2016. I wanted to watch zootopia today, but I was curious when I saw a Japanese anime movie, the beast and the son. I like Beauty and the Beast, what happened to this boy and the beast? (Okay, I just replaced son with boy, haha) Of course, given the name and the Japanese style heritage, I already understand that this is another story that promotes masculinity. Anyway, it has nothing to do with women. related! ! Brave teenagers, vulnerable teenagers, aren't the Japanese just super obsessed with teenagers~~Girls, hehe, they're all icing on the cake anyway. (I’m really not convinced. In real life, Japanese teenagers are all weak, but girls are full of energy, cute, kind and brave. But who called the director’s father a man? :)
At first, I saw The child's mother died, unable to understand his father, feeling abandoned, lonely and weak. (Well, it's a typical Japanese mentality, especially in the Tokyo metropolis, where lonely and weak individuals are really in line with the state of the Japanese in Tokyo) But after all, it's full of passion, and it's always going to explode, so in life Suppressed, I dare not show my personality, so I have to be obscene in the movie :)
Therefore, as expected, the story develops, it is very simple: the teenager enters the world of monsters, learns from a monster, and grows up together under the condition of being both a teacher and a friend. The setting here is actually quite fun, the boy is called nine because he is nine years old (but don’t forget, nine and nine means one, nine is a very strange number, that is, it is unfinished, and it is endless, and it is the end, again). His master, mainly a purple (bear?), and a monkey and a pig, and his bear master's opponent is a golden lion, whose human son has purple eyes. Well, I don’t know if I’m thinking too much, but I always feel that his master is a bit like Sha Monk, Bajie, and Wukong in Journey to the West, while the Golden Lion King is alluding to foreigners, the purple bear represents the Japanese, and the old daring The little wise rabbit lord represents China. The old rabbit said that the golden lion king and the purple bear whoever his father won, can replace the old rabbit as the new lord. At the beginning, the purple bear and the golden lion king lost, but the purple bear refused to admit defeat. After all, the Japanese did not admit defeat, so he grew up with the little boy Jiu and finally defeated the golden lion king. And Jiu also gradually grew up and became a strong man in the struggle with his master. Of course, just because your body is strong doesn't mean your mind is also strong. Jiu has always had the shadow of being abandoned in his heart. But I guess it's too hard to show yourself fighting against your own shadow, so let the golden-haired lion's human son with purple eyes (also abandoned by human parents and raised by monsters) have inner demons, and then purple eyes can't Control your own force.
The out-of-control and demonization of the purple eyes is actually a reflection of Jiu. The movie should want the purple eyes to represent the darkness in Jiu's heart, and then Jiu defeated the purple eyes, indicating that Jiu is not only physically strong, but also mentally strong, because he can control his own strength and will.
But the question is, how does this nine defeat the magic of purple eyes? It was the purple bear who called the new lord and became the sword in the heart of nine, and then the nine defeated the purple eye. So, in the final analysis, it was not Jiu who defeated Purple Eyes himself, but defeated the Demon of Heart together with his Sword Spirit (Purple Bear).
The plot has always been smooth, and the picture is not as beautiful and beautiful as Kung Fu Panda III. But the most important problem with this film is that it is not really about morality. The only thing it conveys is the idea that the winner is king and the strong is respected. Therefore, in the movie, when Jiu defeated the little monster who looked down on him before, the little monster immediately bowed his head and bowed his head, because the little monster said: he likes strong people.
In other words, the whole movie is to tell people, especially men: Get power, get physical strength, and will power, you can become a powerful person, you can make others surrender, you can become a king and a god. In the movie, the motivation for the male protagonist to gain power is for himself, not for the greater morality and group.
However, is it really power that makes people surrender? Of course, force can often decide everything, but more often, shouldn't it be morality and righteousness? If only pure power and personal strength are pursued, and the subjects surrender to this superficial strength without asking, is it not easy to move towards militarism?
This also makes it easy to understand why the Japanese who loved Chinese culture so much a hundred years ago, such kind-hearted Japanese, would disregard morality and invade China, the Nanjing Massacre, rape and murder of women and children. Because they only pay attention to pure power, and only blindly obey powerful leaders, instead of obeying true morality!
This is also the difference between Kung Fu Panda and Son of the Monster. The former is to become strong for morality, and to protect everyone, while the latter is only strong because of the pursuit of power. Which is better? Which is scarier? Everyone must have made their own judgments.
Also, why can't it be the daughter of a monster? ? ? ! ! ! I've had enough of the Japanese love for beautiful boys, but it's actually quite disgusting to think about.

The Boy and the Beast quotes

  • Kaede: Everyone of us carries that darkness equally. Ren carries it, and so do I. But I'm still struggling as hard as I can, even now. That's why there's no way Ren can lose to you who were so easily swallowed by the darkness. There's no way we're going to lose!

  • Kumatetsu: Kyuta thinks he can stand on his own two feet already, but really he still needs someone to help him. I may be small-time chump, but I'm still gonna help him. I'll make up for what's missing inside his heart. That's the one thing this small-timer can still do!
