It reflects the differences between Chinese and American companies in their treatment of benefits and employee benefits. The Chinese employees of Cao Dewang's factories in China are all disciplined, obedient, honest, and willing to work overtime. Some American workers are relatively lazy. If Fuyao America has a union, they will indeed face unprofitability. But GM, once in that union, collapsed. Ordinary American workers are fired for whether they want a subsistence salary or various rights. The Chinese and American laborers want too much on the one hand, and too little on the other.
